I will never ever ever find a job

then i would just change your schedule get a day job, drop the day class, take it in teh summer (if available) graduate, then stick to night classes until your down so you can work during the day. just my $.02

thats the path i went and suggested she go… of coarse she got a dick motherfucker as an ‘advisor’ that is telling her she cannot drop a class this semester and replace with a summer one…

naturally some asshole is fuckin shit up.

Thats usually what happens so they get more of your money… If you don’t watch um they will screw you without a doubt

what you need to do is get admitted to school full-time. once your in school you can look for a job on campus. Most of them start at 7.50 per/hour and most of them sit around and do homework.

I know your a psychology major, get a student employment position in one of the laboratorys or Western Psychiatric istitute, some of them make 10 bucks an hour. You can always wait on tables in oakland, sqhill, or shadyside.

ya i stopped listening to the ccac advisors when the pitt advisors told me the exact opposite of everything ccac was telling me, when i was transferring.

I’m and admissions counselor at Pitt. I deal with tons of transfers from CCAC, man a lot of them have been mis advised.

i’d suggest to hit up cranberry too!

i heard home depots start at $10 to pretty much just keep shelves in order, and whatnot. id look into that, im pretty sure they have some sort of tuition reimbursement program too.

Dont rely on career services at CCAC to find you anything. If you want something you gotta do it for yourself. Have you tried monster, hotjobs, careerbuilder, princetonreview, etc? Also, go to any companies website that deal with the field your interested in…most of them will have a career/internship link if they offer them.

good luck

the stripper idea was good thou

Thanks to all that had something good to add. I have tried MANY of the suggestions. I have applied all over Sq Hill to wait tables… I have applied many places online… I have been applying to many places at many school campus’. I actually have an interview at Pitt… but am unable to work they schedule they want me to… so I won’t be able to take it… I’m still on the hunt.

It’s a shame that you couldn’t find anything in “da hill”. There have been 2 or 3 new restaurants open in the last couple of months, and one, Ma Provence that should be opening soon.

i have another interview in Sq Hill for a server/cook at a little diner…

3.00 an hour and tips… to cook and serve… food service, im back for more…

i think the real question is why are you taking 3 years for a 2 year degree?

Because of the advisors at CCAC. I was not ‘allowed’ to change my major until last year… at that point I had taken 24 credits worth of classes that I didn’t need for the degree and don’t transfer to my 4-year school of choice.

i’m on 5.5 years for a 4 year degree… wanna go toe to toe tough guy?

so combined you are at a whooping 8.5 years for what a normal person does in 6 years.
Congrats!

what in the fuck is your point? aren’t you the snot-nosed wannabe engineer that’s worth millions? go suck a cock. once you step foot in reality report back with your high-class comments.

otherwise continue shutting the fuck up.

Jenn…
Can you cook? Even a little. I have an idea that would work with your schedule and I know someone who made $30,000 the first year…
Interested…?
