IC: RaceReady Season Opener Track Day in conjunction with TN

RaceReady/TorontoNissan, sorry for going off topic on your thread.
Dunville or Shannonville are fine for me.

Hmm … I got 4 feet of air at Shannonville, didn’t hurt anything. Left my exhaust in the infield, but hey.

Also wasn’t in a papier maché frame S-chassis.

Dunville is improving, but they’ve still got a long way to go.

At least you don’t have to drift around wayward skydivers as much anymore.

But you can still smack a wall at Shannonville, or flip your car, or run through the snow fence.

The good togue drivers in Japan have also wrecked their share of cars. They can laugh about it now. But a lot of them lost friends, have serious life-long injuries to tend with … etc.

Does getting shot a couple times make you better at dodging bullets?

Is anyone going to pick up the ball and just run an open lapping day?

The best part about the 8-hour madness at Shannonville was when the crowds thinned out and you could have 2 and 3 car battles. Drift, grip, grift, drip.

Drifters are slow.

Splitting a day between grippers and drifters is never a good thing, but it’s better than trying to run them at the same time. Drifters get scared by grippers all over their bumpers.

Never got that. If you’re not drifting fast, what’s the point?

I guess I’d be down if the “drifters” could run the grip portion too? If I’m still rocking the Celica by June (shoot me if that happens, please) I get about as sideways gripping as I do drifting

If I’m in town, I would possibly come run either the 944 for grip, or a borrowed 350zTT for drift. Wont know for a few months though.
