for the past few weeks, my car has been having a little trouble starting.
when I turn the key, it hesitates a bit before turing over.
Then today, I get in and it won’t start at all. and there’s no ‘clicking’ either.
does anyone know what the problem might be?
I have a few guesses:
could be the alternator thus draining by battery
could be the starter?
To test if it is the starter get a friend to put a pole on the starter and whack the other end with a hammer as you try starting your car. This will loosen the messed up solnoid (common problem with starter) and then you’ll know u have to replace starter.
I dont know about the alternator tho…
Give the starter a smack if its old. May be the brushes not making contact. Ive been doing this for the last 2 months, waitng for warm day to install new starter. My wife has it down pat :lol: PS hit it hard try a pipe.
Or yep maybe the solinoid messed up
I fixed it. Negative battery connector is fudged :lol:
