I put in a silencer because the people around my house arnt to happy.
anyways today I had to go to averys in etobico to pick up some parts, I park infront of his drive way, I have to move it so he can get in the driveway and my car wont start turns but wont catch, after like 2 min cranking it fires way up, i leave it running, take parts and leave.
I stop to get gas and same thing. Finally get it going and head home, get into whtiby and it just starts stuturing making allsorts of pinging and ticking noise, so i limp her home get her in my drive way and she dies on me, Now i cant get her fired up again. Im sick of this its my second motor now.
Now i have to go to windsor now next weekend to sign a lease on the house im renting with no car.
Now i figure i have three options. all which require me going way more into debt.
Hmm this really sucks man … i have my sohc motor/tranny that im gonna sell but i geuss u dont wanna do that … i dont kno much about the ca and building a ka = expensive? … i geuss you could look for another 1?
if you’re on a budget, just drop in another ka as previously suggested. they’re cheap and easy to find. swaps aren’t exactly budget options, especially since you mentioned going into debt.
I was thinking this but i want to do this right and since i dont have the tools or skills to swap in my own motors i must pay to do it so at close to a $1000 for a ka i would rather spend 2-3K to get it done right and last.
and anyways i got it started and just let it idel for a while then the oil light came on, so i check the oil its full and clean, now i dont know whats wrong.
Do what you can according to your budget and what you’ll be most happy with at that time. If you really feel the car is worth a heart transplant then I say go for it.

how do you konw the engine is dead? maybe your coil just died? or alot of other posibilitys.
My car did what you said one time. Turned out it was the coolent sensor still thining the car was still cold so it was giving it to much gas and then it was flooding out. It wouding like it was knoking bad when it was happning.
dont give up. do a compresson test, see if there is gas in the clys;
check compression, ignition components, sensors, fuel injection, once you find nothign wrong with those, only than i would worry about swapping, but i know how you feel, so dont give up and just get things done asap, im sure you know people who can help you with those simple things i listed with no charge
