Thanks,
Bill
have you tried the tool rented from ct /partsource?
big breaker bar would help tried that?..
not unless the motor is blown or siezed…
one of those electric impact (110V) usually does it for me…
Yeah I’m actually a manager at part source lol, that’s where I got the socket from. But we don’t have a gun to rent.
Maybe I’ll just use one of the electric guns off the shelf… Never thought of that one.
Thanks guys
breakerbar plus short back and forth movement tight loose tight loose. Or put a decent sized good ratchet on there and whack it with a heavy hammer. Works for everything else. Its a “old school” “impact” hammer.
lol I got it by bolting a chain around the flywheel bolts and engine stand. The hammer method didn’t work due to how easy the engine turned over haha
should have called me bro, i have an electric at home. lmk if you need to borrow it still
also could have put a breaker bar on the bolt and put in against the ground or wedged in the against the frame somewhere and bump cranked the engine with the starter. the pully side of any engine (except for certain hondas) turns clock wise so the opposing force turns the bolt counter clockwise and cracks it loose…
I bought the two electric impact guns at Ct but never worked on my k motor.
i was gonna say, you have to lock the crank and get it with a breaker bar or gun
