First of all, DK4 was fun. Met some cool people and saw some great drifts.
Congrats to the winners.
Anywho, early in the day, car seemed to run fine, but the 2nd half of the
day, I had trouble kicking the rear loose so I started clutch-kicking it.
Fast forward to the end of the day. I had everything packed and headed
off. My car probablly had 200lb or more worth of tires/tools and stuff.
I felt the power was very low. Like I wasn’t feeling the torque. I would
rev and the rev would jump up 1000rpm or so but the speed wasn’t
changing. I figured it was the weight/drag so I didn’t think much.
This morning, in 2nd gear, around 3000rpm, when I gave more gas
(almost WTO), the car took a while to pick up power. It’s like there was
a slight lag.
So anywho, guess my clutch is starting to go or what? The car still drives
fine. Like it still grabs as usual in 1st gear. Just it feels like the power
isn’t there where it normally was.
Anything I can do to see what the exact problem could be?
Signs of a slipping clutch is when you shift hard or tromp on the throttle in
a high gear the RPM’s will shoot up but you will slowly increase speed or
not increase speed at all. If the RPM’s Increase at a constant rate as the
Speed but is sluggish thenn it’s just a simple issue of your motor is FUBAR
hmmm, mine started doing what yours did at DK4 on a friday last year, drove it to around to trouble shoot on the saturday, couldn’t make it back to school with it on the sunday had to leave her home.
but i didnt change the clutch when i got the SR and it might have gone faster than usual once it started to slip.
