OK I’m stumped. There are quite a few theories that I’ve gotten on this so far, some still possible but I’ve eliminated as many as possible.
Basically I have stock fenders with no damage, wheels are both same offset, brake rotors are identical, no spacers, all multilink is in good condition and yet my offsets appear to be way different…
I just snapped some quick pics and i apologize for 1) the filthy car 2) the nasty pics, its dark out and i used flash and 3) the tires arent perfectly straight but the problem is so bad its easy to see still. I was too lazy to get in and straighten them.
hmm very odd… are u sure their the same offset? if you havent all ready try taking the wheel off, there should be the offset stamped into the spoke or outer edge. im sure you’ve check this but they are the same width? are the tires the same size? is their any corrosion or obstructions on the base?
its probably just your fender. try a few things, make sure your caster and camber is the same, try switching the left wheel for the right wheel and re adjust your monster truck ride height and then see…
it costs a SHITLOAD of money to put your car on a straightening rack
haha, i had to lift it even more so it would stop rubbing because of this damn problem.
i’ll check out all of the multi-link measurements next time i can get it up on a hoist.
and yes the wheels are the same width and offset. ;]
by the way… someone suggested that the k-frames on these cars are often not actually dead center or even perfectly straight… can’t tell if its perfectly centered on stock wheels with a naked eye and if its crooked the alignment keeps it driving straight…
