LS1. Easy to make the power you want, and if you want to make retarded power in the future, you can easily do it no matter the route you take (turbo, supercharger, NA, n2o).

Ls3 crate engine is 5500 with out a trans. Best bet is some sort of ls powered car as it will cost you less to build most likely

depending on price range. LS3/T56. stock LS3’s make almost 400whp so with a tune and a set of headers youre looking at 430 or so whp in a 2800lb car.

to get into a 2JZ/V160 youre looking at close to 10 grand. then whatever turbo/ems you decide on.

i say LS3, or atleast an LS2.

Your best bet is to buy a wrecked Camaro or Firebird with an LS1 and then youll have everything you need for the LS1 swap- motor, tranny, harness, computer, rearend, etc.
