Iron Block FTL.

Wasn’t a 240Z with a SBC called a Scarab?

Yeah, that was one of the names for them. I’m staying Nissan with the swap, I’ve said it many times because I dont need stupid power.

LS1 nukka

He clearly didnt mean LS1, and I wont swap one in anyway so there’s zero point in discussing it.

Interior getting slowly but surely down to stripped so I can cut the floorboards out and finish rewiring for defi’s and new HVAC controls.

Something I’ve been struggling with for weeks, the car has ANCIENT wheel locks on it, and I have no key. I think I’m going to end up welding nuts onto them and taking them off that way, but I figured I’d post an image and see if anyone knew what it was, or had a better idea.

Hilarious “playboy” decals in the 1/4 windows. There is also one for the alarm, one for the alpine head unit and one for the CA911 foundation from like 1982.

Much better! Have to remove the stock hvac and then I’ll be ready to start cutting the floors out.

Engine bay almost completely stripped. Almost ready to get sandblasted (any local recommendations?)

Overview, also test mounted the carbon flares, they look awesome, hoping to get those on the car sometime in the next week as the welting kits from Austin (240hoke) came in.

Bought a '95 KA24DE motorset, 100k miles, uncut harness, trans, etc, etc. Picking that up Sunday and using parts from Bings.ca for KA-T.

That’s all for now

ka-t ftw

def what ill go with when when i get around to building a datsun.

cool. looking good. glad to see some more folks using that KA motor. when built its pretty good and nice and torquey. smaller than shoehorning a VQ in there too.

Brian

Almost looks like a toy car in this pic.

I still would prefer to do a VQ, but this is an easy cheaper option for now (cheap, yes, but VQ’s are CHEAP too.) The VQ isnt shoehorned in, it EASILY fits and sits completely behind the strut towers.

…was thinking the same thing when I saw that pic. Solid work so far

i agree the torq and weight distribution with the vq would be nasty. but the ka-t is neat too. with those carbon fender flares on lambo green = sick. nice project i love late 70’s-mid 80’s they have so much character. good luck with the project hope to maybe see it at some shows or rippin up the highway this summer.

Nice you got them sexy ladies in the windows

you gotta leave the chrome ladies

That is a hot looking blue color Mike… cough new choice cough?

:word:

Wow that’s a lot of room. Will you be able to mount the KA in the same fashion?

I havae a set of badass lug specific bolt extractors if you want to borrow them.
