I think you could have gotten a twig better than a Koho Revolution autographed. LOL I kid, the work you’ve done in such a short amount of time is pretty remarkable
Looks good man, esp for first time work.
HAHA what’s worse is that it is signed by Richard Schmelik. I think I got it when I was like 10 and he was still playing.
Update for you guys, I finally got around to finishing my floor and trim. Next is to do my block windows and to tackle the ceiling. Enjoy!
Nice, let’s have a party! LOL
X…
Looks terrific! You know, Bills/Sabres stuff aside, haha. Seriously, quality work there…
Basement looks awesome man!!!
Nice place.
It almost makes me want to work on my basement…
But not enough to actually do so
The floor go in easy?
Floor went in super easy, I have experience installing flooring though, but with a table saw and a jigsaw, it was a breeze.
I will be picking up a few pieces of lattice to paint black and I will start hanging that up.
Solid basement hangout. nice job
Thanks! It was a lot harder than I originally planned because of the pool table. It’s a gandy “big g”. It’s 9’x 5’ so I had to extend every wall as far away from the table. I have 2 size shorty sticks for those tight shots, but for a $250 table and light, I did whatever I had to do to make it work.
Got a few things done over the weekend that I have been waiting to do since I moved in. My garage never had a man door on it and it always drove me nuts, well now I do have one.
Started dismantling the wall and rerouting my wires for my outlets, lights and flood light outside. Had to move my light switch and garage door opener as well. This took longer than expected.
Cut out old 2x4’s and framed up my new ones for the door.
Cut the hole for the door:
Door in for rough fit!
Final product:
My next projects are:
- Gutters for the garage along with running my drain over to the house and tie into the return to the street.
- Updated electric to the garage.
- My gf’s father is giving me enough bricks to make my walkway from the door wrap around to the driveway.
- Scrap and repaint garage
 nice progress man
love the basement floor
nice work dude! wanna help me do my kitchen this summer? lol
I wouldn’t mind helping. I love doing this kind of stuff. Sometimes I get in over my head, but I usually like doing things myself rather than pay someone.
Some more updates. Spending the better part of this awesome weekend in my basement with my gf’s brother ripping out my galvanized water lines and replacing them with CPVC lines. I will be hooking up my reverse osmosis system as well.
This is what I have been dealing with;
Took down a piece of drywall to find this hole in my chimney. Super safe right?
Materials:
This is what has come out so far:
I’ll update as I go.
so what are you doing in the meantime for water? why didn’t you just install everything along side the existing then just switch it over?
The glue only takes 1 to 6 hours depending on hot and cold lines. I took a shower at my gf’s parents tonight and have a few 5 gallon buckets of water on hand for the toilets if needed. Ill turn the water on tomorrow morning and check it for leaks.
As far as running them parallel, we didn’t do that because it was a wacky setup to begin with so I wasn’t about to waste pipe. I did also change out my slop sink faucet and started hooking up my RO system. Should finish it tomorrow.
All cleaned out and ready for new pipe
After:
The electrical is a tire fire right now. It is an ongoing process of sorting, removing and running sections of areas their own wires on proper breakers. I removed some old gas lines as well.
get rid of that hot water tank and boiler with a baxi luna wall hung combo boiler/on demand hwt.
