how do you know if the engine of your 240 is going to die? any symptons? or tests?

it leaks oil through the crankcase seal, then it has no oil (seal completely fails), then a rod comes through the block. White james bond smoke cloud…“its over”

Light brawn oil with a wierd texture…
Low Idle with lo/no power ( Especally noticeable with an Auto Tranny )
Low Gas milage
rough Idle
All of these Say, DUM DUM DUM!!! Coolent is getting in the oil! Mostlikly From the head!
The same thing happened to me shortly after i got my '90 Coupe.
the guide for the timming chain went, Then Grinded through the Head giving the Coolent a clear path down the front of the Block to the oil pan.
hardly technical and the same thing applies too all cars :-#
