OT: That being said, I think its a good idea to becareful what kind of local racing videos and such that you may want to post. You never know who is reading/watching you. If you post a vid with the description saying “camaro vs eclipse central ave colonie” for example,all the cops have to do is google search it and if they get a plate number or vehicle description. They may not be able to prosecute you but they can herrass you.
My pride is an expendable item. My pride will come back shortly after the cop pulls away and spares me the short story on yellow paper. My $100+ I have to work for and how many of us like work

Luckily for myself I have quite a bit of family and friends that are in law enforcement but I never take it for granted. I always comply and never talk out of line or even bark any attitude to the man with the badge even if he didn’t have a good reason to pull me over.

it’s not about pride, its about respect, and maturity enough to realize that because you were nice to the police officer when they pulled you over, doesn’t make you “an ass kissing bitch”
I have been let go with a warning MANY times because I was simply courteous. No matter how many think police suck and they dont do anything but harass people, their job is stressful enough with worrying about being shot at, ran over etc, that they don’t need to be worried about some idiot that wants to be a fucking smartass when you pull them over.

Again, for the record, I have no problem with giving respect if given back. I have a problem with the notion that wearing a badge means that I need to kiss their ass. I have a problem with the notion that if I am not saying sir or kissing their ass that a ticket might occur. I have a problem with the notion that my attitude has an influence on the ticket. That’s bullshit period.
Rest assured, if some cop is a dick to me, I will not accept it or swallow it. Fuck that.
Also, cops exist mainly to build revenue based off the middle class. They aren’t pulling children from burning buildings or saving us from 9/11 type indicidents. They are a revenue-driven entity for the most part. I feel bad for saying that too but that’s the way it is.
I have 0 respect for some fucking Nassau cop that pulls over some poor kid that went to LVD for driving 1MPH over, no front place, etc… and decides to be a complete prick because he has a badge. Again, that’s bullshit.

my post wasn’t directed at you or your post in any way. I fully understand what your saying. and for the record, if the police officer comes to the window like a giant hard-on, I’m not going to be all jovial and whatnot.
I’m simply saying, that I’m not about to have a “fuck the police” attitude every time I ever get pulled over etc, just because.

The “Fuck the police” attitude is really crappy but some cops bring it on themselves. I’ve had very mixed situations but mostly positive:
- Albany Cop accused me of street racing a Z06. Said “nice car” and let me go on my way. Very nice and polite
- Got a ticket from a NYS trooper who was polite as can be. He reduced it for me with a $100 fine and I was on my way. I was 100% guilty too. Friggin Isuzu Rodeo too.
- Got pulled over by a Mass trooper for doing 90+ in my new SUV (not sure about that). I handed the ticket back to him and asked for a break. He actually took it and let me go. Mind boggling.
- Got pulled over by a NYS trooper for doing 90+ in my new SUV (that I was guilty; I was driving to Albany from NYC and I was just exhausted and wanted to get home). About MID/LATE 20s. I thought I was fucked. Gave me a ticket for my rear tail light being out on a brand new SUV. Was one of the polite person I ever dealt with
- Got pulled over by local police outside LVD and the young cop basically commited assault on me. I was leaving for NYC and close to pressing charges. My 3000GT buddy was in awe over hearing a cop say: “Want me to drag you out of this car?”.
- Schenectady cop tried to give me a ticket when I was 18 for not turning right on red at 2-3AM. I just laughed at him when he tried to run a train on me.
- An Oneonta bike cop tried to charge my GF with something that was totally bullshit and she recited the law back to him including the specifics. Major 0wnage.
All in all. I haven’t had any bad situation really exist for that local cop outsie LVD but I’ve the bad cops just kill it for their entire image.
i can agree with you 100 percent about the few bad cops ruining the image, like the one bad apple saying. but then again, look at it from their viewpoint, I bet one bad young driver in an import/sporty car could probably ruin their image of us too.
Partially agree but I think a cop would have a bit more integrity than someone like benny doing donuts smoking a blunt.
