Just got the same stupid ticket today…
I was in a hurry to head to the Temple today (because today is a special day in Buddhist religion where you pay respect to your loved ones before noon) and I drove through a T intersection. An undercover cruiser pulls me over, says I ran a stop sign. He also makes a comment saying how my windows look really dark. He makes me roll up my windows and tries to inspect them, says he can see my jeans, and clothes just fine but he’s not able to see my “eyes”. In my head, I was like did he just make a racial thing at me? Yes, I’m Chinese btw. I get a ticket for disobeying the stop sign and for obstructing object in driver’s view.
Stop sign, I’ll admit it was my fault, but “not able to make eye contact with driver” is a load of bull. The car I drive was certified last month, it shouldn’t have passed safety if it was too dark. I’m going down with yelling and screaming if I have too.
So, what really happened is you pulled a rolling stop and the copper was nice enough to give you a break and ding you with a tint ticket, instead of 3 points for failure to stop.
Let us know how court goes.
