KA AUTO --> MANUAL

36 hours and its finally complete, KA auto > manual… :smiley: what we did was terrorize the steering column and stick the break and clutch in. than we went on to disassemble the manual tranny under the car without taking the engine out.(which would have been much easier, working under the car is a bit**) finally, after taking the exhaust off we could fit the manual tranny onto the engine. after test driving it was great to finally see the accomplishment that many individuals discourage auto 240sx owners to do.

good job

I’m considering the swap.

Was it hard to mount the master cylinder/clutch pedal? I don’t have any pre-drilled holes in my firewall but there is a couple of markers.

Were they’re any sensors to mount on the clutch pedal? If there were, was there any difficulty there?

Did you change the pilot bearing when doing the flywheel?

There is a stamped placement to drill the holes in the firewall for the Clutch.

There is no wiring required for the Master Cylinder.

Dark Core I hope you Installed a Piolet Bearing into the Engine.

If not good luck driving that thing for more than 3,000km :shock:

Automatic Engines don’t have them. They have a Piolet Sleave.

it wasnt just me working there… john did most of the work because i was still in learning mode.

Well go ask him if he installed the bearing or not.

Most mechanics/people don’t know they need to do this.

as you wish, boss
