Sounds good. I’ll get in touch with ya after work ~ 5pm.
Well, I dropped off the sub-frame at a local shop to get blasted and powder coated I can’t wait to see it again, all fresh and shiny!
Got to meet two NYSpeeders last night. We drank some beers, ate some pizza and got some work done on the arms. Big thanks Nick and Luke for making it happen. I’ll clean the welds up later today and post some pics
cool meeting you man, def glad to have been able to help out and can’t wait to get up close and personal with the 240 lol.
KHAN I TUCH IT PLZ
Yea man, the feeling is mutual. I’ll introduce you to Silvia sometime soon lol

Still awaiting a call back about my rear sub frame. My guess is that it’ll be finished this week.
In the meantime, I had the arms blasted to get them ready for powder coating - the 2 camber arms were blasted by pirite on here using focusinprogress’ cabinet
Small update:
I decided to rebuild and powder coat my rear calipers as well. I have the whole rear end dismantled already so I figured, what the hell, whats a few more pieces? lol The S14s rear calipers come with actuators for the e-brake, which makes taking them apart a major PITA if you don’t have the right tools. I had to borrow a friends “longer” snap ring pliers as mine were too short. I ordered the seal/ring kit today. Putting these back together is going to suck…
I threw the lighter in there for size comparison. These things are tiny.
Finally got the calipers sand blasted. The guy who powder coated my pulleys for me keeps stiffin’ me. Long enough to where my already blasted arms started rusting again. I guess he doesn’t want to make any money so fuck him. With that said, I ordered my own powder coating kit. On the 10th of September, I’m buying my own blasting cabinet too. I’m sick and tired on relying on others to get shit done.
Here are the calipers, ready for a fresh coat.
I’m pretty pumped about this purchase. I should’ve bought this a long time ago! The coating starts tomorrow. Tonight I got a hot date with the wife
awesome progress. always wanted to take apart, blast and coat my calipers. GOOD LUCK
Thanks!
I had to do some shopping at the local HF for some compressor accessories before attempting to do any coating. Main one being a air regulator. These coating guns only require 5-8psi. Any who, I cleaned up the arms for the e-brake actuator and did a test run to see how it goes. I think they turned out pretty good! I feel confident I can do the calipers next.
Still no burnout vids
Haha nope. I get easily distracted by my OCD. I would’ve been done already if it wasn’t for that! I think I may try a Aderol pill for a week and see if my progress increases lol
Speaking of progress:
Gonna try to reassemble them all today.
Does anyone have super long snap ring pliers I could borrow? One of the two snap rings in these calipers is a pita to get to without long-jawed pliers. Hit me up if you can let me use them just for a day or two.
Thanks!
Edit: Looks like I’ll have to get one
