Lemmings

Not the video game but kinda like it. I’m sure everybody has seen people acting like lemmings in everyday life.

It happened to me twice Saturday night. I was at the regal and went to get tickets. Everybody is in one line. Why? I don’t get it. So I walk through the other one and walk right up to the window. Then, I go to get some popcorn. Same thing. Everyone is in one line again. There are two other registers open! This shit baffles me.

yeah. i notice shit like that ALLLLLL the time. People hardly open their eyes.

life is easier being a cow… you don’t ahve to think for yourself, it’s the hight of lazyness for people who aren’t truley alive

People are social animals and we want to be close to other people by nature.

Not me though. I can’t stand people. I wish I could shower you all in Purell.

I see it all the time as well. People don’t like to think. Then again, I’ll be honest and say I’ve done it a few times if I’m out with friends just shooting the shit and we jump in line. I’m more into the conversation than whats going on around me so I just go with the obvious flow.

what really fucks with me is the way people park. people always clump together. humans have a natural herding instinct. If i leave a 5 spot buffer around my car, i will always find someone near me when i come out of the store. And i don’t think it is someone fucking with me, because it is usually some mom in a minivan.

Speaking of minivans, any car that isnt mine should have sliding or lambo doors.

sociology at its finest.

A phenomenon I have noticed all too often. I always park way far out. I have legs so I might as well use them. Without fail, when I get back to my car, someone is parked near me.

THESE PEOPLE PROBABLY VOTE.

I just want all of You think about that.

:gotme:

haha. good point.

The human mind, it’s insanely complex. While being simple at the same time. It’s wierd how that works but happens all the time.

next test (yes I’ve done this):

Go to a mall, or semi-crowded area.
pick a random spot in the hallway / promenade.
Stand perfectly still and stare at a random point on the ceiling / sky.
Within 5-10 minutes You’ll have a small crowd gathered and all looking up.
Note-very few of them will actually ask what it is they are looking at.

:noes:

Damn, I missed that post and I was just at the mall.

This sounds like something that should be recorded and posted! hahaha

I prefer the term “Sheeple”

:word: I’m game, anyone got a camera?

How about if you ever go somewhere with automated checkouts? (tops,wal-mart,home depot). They are always empty and 10 people are in line with the normal cashier.Maybe people dont want to bag the stuff they buy themselves :gotme: .

no that more has to do with new technology and people are scared/ not in the mood to deal with it. i never use them if i dont have to.

thats not always the case. when they first came to my area, i was pretty much against them, using the thinking that its taking jobs away from real people.

then i used it one day, realized how much faster it is, and always use it now if there isnt a long ass line in front of them.
