IIRC Fry didn’t end up buying the ryan house anyway
it’s not really your call as to whether or not the car is totaled out…but that’s a whole other conversation…Let’s just hope that doesn’t happen. Wouldn’t want anyone getting hurt.
It certainly is my decision that if someone hits me to continue driving in a straight line to hit something else hard enough to do so. <3
LOL word up
I’ve only heard horror stories from people with Allstate.
Switched to geico 3 terms ago (6month/term) after allstate just kept hiking my rate term after term 10%+ each time, with no claims.
Saved about 40% initially, and the rate has held steady for 2 renewals now.
When I called my allstate rep. to complain and see about a better rate, he fed me something about how “geico hadn’t switched to the new pricing structure yet, but they would soon and it would be the same or more than allstate’s rate”. I’m still waiting for that.
I also get their roadside for both vehicles for less than $24/year. My wife used it once and they sent the locksmith right out. She has one claim with geico and it was very painless. Also once I was rear ended by a geico customer and had my check right after the estimate. I couldn’t be happier with them.
edit: they actually did raise my rate $30 since I started with them. I’m paying just under $1350/yr for my sti and wife’s mini-van. Full cov.
Yeah, my Allstate bill just went up. 3 cars, 1 driver, BASIC coverage (no collision), flawless record, over 25. Plus I have homeowners though them. About $1500 per year. Plus they don’t offer any kind of classic car coverage, and I barely drive my older cars.
lol at all the allstate shit
I switched to Allstate years ago when there was a UBRF/NYSpeed discount since they guy left my insurance has been going up and up every year.
Told Allstate they need to do something or I was leaving “Well we can’t do anything and those other companies don’t give you accurate quotes however if you put your homeowners through us it will lower everything” It would have saved my $5-10 a month
Couple months later I switched to Geico Allstate agent “Well im going to call the underwriter and we will try and match” at which point I told them to fuck off.
Couldn’t be happier with Geico
I just dumped Geico after 4 years. They tried to raise my premium 200/6mo using “your vehicles are now more expensive to insure” as the justification. No points no accidents. I shopped around and got Travelers to beat my original premium by 50 bucks with better coverage (higher uninsured motorist). I called Geico to rub it in and they transferred me to a “specialist” who after 2 minutes on the phone came within 20 bucks of Travelers. Being the nice guy I am I explained to the guy that I don’t do business with companies who try to take advantage of loyal customers. Had they not tried to screw me I would have never shopped around. Geico can go fuck themselves and gouge someone else as far as I am concerned.
I go through a third party agency that bounces me around for the best deal. We went through GMAC, geico, allstate and progessive. I have to say that Geico was the only one to raise rates and toss in “fees”. We have progessive now and we haven’t changed carriers in a year and a half.
I had made a couple late payments with Geico, not back to back, a few months in between, and they canceled me, then tried to make me pay a $300 fine to reinstate my policy, along with attempting to double my rate. Allstate beat out Geico’s original rate and have been happy with them ever since.
I used to have Geico, but I went with Fidelity because it saved me money grouping an umbrella, home and auto policy together. I pay roughly $3500 a year for everything and I’m really over covered.
lol @ i didn’t pay my bills so they didn’t want to insure me for cheap any more.
Anyway, I have geico and they have been great. I was hit by a driver with Progressive and had to work with them to get the repairs. They were a complete pain in the ass, not because they were trying to rip me off, but because every idiot i talked to over there had no idea what they were doing. I ended up calling geico (my insurance wasn’t paying for the repairs btw) and they sat on the phone with me and answered every single question i had thoroughly and effectively. They even contacted progressive to get some straight answers for me, then called me back to fill me in on all the details. It was great, the customer service is outstanding.
i had gieco for 6 years. i moved here to ny and got my own policy they quoted me about 1400 every six months so i said yes and got the plicy. then after they recieved my down payment they then say we went through a couple of accounts and ur actual rate is 4800 for a year on basic liability on a car with no lien. so fed up i went to liberty mutual, make a long story short, im 24 have 2 accidents on my record (cause of ice and people running me off the road)
95 lexus full coverage, rental, towing, eberything. 749 a yr, and when im 25 and both accidents come off soon it goes down another 400
So you didn’t fill out the application correctly and your rates went up…
FWIW, i’ve been on geico for like 3 years, no complaints, dirt cheap rates still. my rates have gone down.
Ive been with geico for 6+ years. I have my car, quad, and house with them. With the house they farmed it out to Fidelity since they are technically a agent and don’t actually do homeowners I guess. Only claim I ever had was for glass and it went smoothly. Rates are good about 1,200 a year for house, car, and quad. Car has 100k/300k full coverage, quad has basic full coverage, house has a little extra for stuff inside.
was just looking into switching from SF to geico myself… squeeky clean record and paying about 130’mo with SF… geico is quoting me $45-50/mo with way more coverage.
The SF agent is a friend of the family, … but… come on… that’s $700 a year.
same thing happened to me when i was with allstate. gave him the chance to try to match what geico was going to give me and he couldnt even come close…
Current Geico customer here, been with them a little over a year.
I was sick of my Allstate policy going up, it went up for four straight renewals and after my agent couldn’t do anything for me I started looking elsewhere.
My original Geico quote was dirt cheap, with the exact same coverages (I did a online one) however when we went to pull the plug it did jump up a bit since I forgot about a few things when they asked me to disclose certain things. Such as 1 small fender bender I had with the BMW, the glass claim I had 2 months after getting subaru and my wife had 2 tickets. All said and done it was still a much better deal than Allstate.
One thing to note our renewal our rate did go up a bit, marginal amount but it was enough that we noticed it.
Overall I am satisfied but if they don’t cut the mustard so to speak then I will go elsewhere, I was with Allstate since i was 16 and it got me nothing really.
Speaking of allstate since i stopped the auto policy they jacked my homeowners insurance up. I need to look at what Geico can do for me there. I may also look at a auto/home owners under MetLife since Blue Cross Blue Shield employee’s gets a bulk discount rate with them
