hi, my 240sx Licence plate holes are stripped, or has nothing to hold in screws. does anyone have and sudjestions on how i could fix this problem asap, the holes are way to big for standerd bolts, thanks.[/quote]
spacers…and replace the bolt.
just get some bigass screws
Are you talking about the plate in the back or the front?
if its the back you can get new screws and those plastic inserts for them at Canadain tire
if you talking about the front I would have to go the washer idea
later Mael
like the plate is fine. the holes in the back there thw screws go into is the problem the owner before stuck a HUGE bolt into it and its stripped, is there like a thing i can shove in to the spot so i can screw my screws in to hold the licence plate?
i had my screws siezed in the back from the previous owner on mine. Had to drill them out with a drill, which then left me a hole that was a bit too big.
I fixed mine by inserting those plastic screw plugs that you put in holes on brick walls, then just screwed a scew into that. Find one that fits in your hole and a screw a screw into that.
First image i could fine…
put some jb weld all over the screw then thread it in…let it ddry and BAM!..
gett 2 self tapping screws move the plate over about an inch or whatever and scroo it in. simple your done. this is a waste of a thread
oh man these are hack ideas
jb weld? common guys…
if its the rear drill and tap to a larger size
if its the front just use bigger screws on the bumper, or get a new licence plate peice that the licence plate attaches to if thats what is stripped
lol yea jsu get bigger screws, not bolts, screws
