such a stat puller!
I believe he was referring to “streetability”?
Shush old man.
He doesn’t.
Stock motor?
i was referring to the streetability of the engine
What does that mean? :lol
I’m gonna go with how street mannered the car is aka doesn’t stall every 5 seconds or buck while driving
im sure youve heard of cam surge? its not that hard to understand, i mean even adam and sean understand, i expect more out of you
Yes I have. But, I just don’t get how the displacement affects streetability as much as you are talking about. Around this area, the imports are the ones with the boltons and the most “streetable” manners. They also have the smaller displacement motors.
you just helped him prove his point???
the ones that are more streetable, are the smaller motors…thats what you just said right?
you dont see 454, 496’s 572 etc. big blocks driving around…why? Because they arent practical and dont have good street manners. Can you do it? Sure…but you never see it.
You couldn’t buy a clue.
Re-read the thread. His point was more displacement = more streetability.
The smaller import motors are prone to over heating and are on the brink of explosion with the power levels tey run some times
It depends on the motor and the power level. Sure, at some point, it would be made easier with more displacement but that logic doesn’t work in all scenarios.
There are other factors such as tuning/supporting mods that can cause that too.
Oh of course it just seems that the ls1 block from the factory is more stout then say a b series but its also closed deck and larger displacement. Its all what ever your taste is for. I like all sorts of different platforms and a fast car is a fast car.
fuck the 9’ go wit a dana s-60 rear lighter stronger and best of all no ford parts in a gm ;D
no, jeep parts instead. dana axles have been used in jeeps since damn near WW2
its not a real dana… strange makes it just based off of a dana design oh and dana started on gm not a jeep for what it,s worth …
That’s one comparison. But the 4G63, 3/S, and 2JZ with smaller displacement seem to support more on completely stock internals (more stout). I still am not understanding the “reliability” thing either as I’d break shit on a stock LS1 motor vs a 2JZ.
cause most turbo import motors carry forged internals …better balancing …right out of the box ,so they will take more than a domestic motor set up to run n/a but forge and balance a domestic and force induct it you will have a stout motor wit trq unlike most imports ;D
