Travis…Yah, you could buy a stock LS1 and go slower, Which would be expected for the amount of money you have into your car. If I were to put the amount of money you put into yours, into mine…im pretty sure it wouldnt even be a competition…12.3 isnt nothing really to brag about with your mods/money spent…is it not?
people swap the LS-whatever because they are rather inexpensive, and you can find parts everywhere. but there is a point to where you should stop swapping them. people are getting a bit retarded with it these days and the cars they swap them into could perform as well, or better with an engine created for that car.
being MORE than full weight with stereo and such in the car… with all season tires… 12.3 is respectable. is it to brag about? no… but add some better octane fuel with a better tune on the car and she will go mid 11’s as she sits and be able to drive it year round with no issues. the same thing cant be said about a lsx equipped car with slicks and spray, etc.
