mejak sentenced to 3 years

If he had a driver’s license then he was licensed to drive the vehicle. If NYS mandated a class system for horsepower limits on their license you might have a point.

Until then, you sound like a fucking douche nozzle.

eh, i mixed up the words, i did that a lot in mock trial cases too lol :fail:

either way, the defendent would not go to jail for burger incident.

this has nothing to do with street racing being illegal. it’s bullshit

he took his road test in an auto car, (assuming), this was his first manual transmission car (fact). :cjerk:

he will probably get out in a year

You don’t know that he wouldn’t go to jail. A jury of his peers would have to find him guilty/innocent beyond a reasonable doubt.

You don’t have to have a license to purchase a car. You have to have a license to drive one. You aren’t limited to the transmission type of a vehicle with a specific license.

You all sound fucking retarded.

If the kid wasn’t severely fucked up after the whole accident thing, he sure will be after 3 years in the slammer…

I always thought he would get off light.Guess not.People should drive stick for more then a couple days before they race people. to the system

Taking a few criminal law classes, Ive agreed with everything Beck has said. It def sucks for the kid, but its written in black and white. Just don’t street race. End of story.

:bowrofl: :uhh:

I don’t think so chief. How about, regardless of whether you’ve driven stick for 6 minutes or 60 years, DON’T FUCKING RACE ON PUBLIC ROADS.

Well is 40+ over the speed limit considered Reckless Endangerment or some shit like that?

I have a degree in this LOL. Thanks.

However, everyone who has watched COPS has some sort of retarded fucking reason as to why this is bullshit.

Is it severe? Yes, maybe?

Is it out of line? No, the punishments for these actions are clearly outlined.

I would have guess that you had a degree in it. Im a bus/admin major but took the law classes for gen ed because they are really interesting to me. We really only just scraped the surface in the classes. My law books are some of the only ones I hang onto actually and its not even my major.

alll I know, is, i wish I was on the jury.

I would not guilty it until they kicked me out

It’s different in every state and its defined in New York State Penal Law section 120.20 Reckless Endangerment 2nd…A person is guilty of reckless endangerment when he engages in conduct which creates a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person.

Its very important to know your shit.

I’d guess that 90% of NySpeed would either legally or illegally get searched and not even know if it was the case. However, it would be whatever they thought it was because “its bullshit”.

“I don’t care that you saw my open container…your search is bullshit”

if you paid attention pickle kisser, you’d know he never drove a manual transmission till the day before this accident happened. This is what contributed to the accident.

I meant even more so.Not thats its ok to street race if youve driven stick your entire life

Even though the scenario is stretching it quite a bit, If the truck driver was going 55 on that stretch of transit he would be breaking the law.

sooo… you’ve never raced on a public road?

I mean

so, you’ve never raced, on a public road,?

I was just thinking if a car was going to slow(slow enough to be ticketed) and he passed them going the speed limit.Lost control and died,If the person going to slow would be charged the same way(assuming they had similiar driving records ect ect.)
