I read some of the other rust related questions, so I’m starting to understand a little about rust. I have rust on the metel brackets, and sliders that push my chair back and forth. I just bought my '93 240, so I guess the previous owner misplaced the sunroof one winter, because I have no idea how else the rust got there. Is the only way to get rid of the rust to sand it down, or is there a spray or something? Also, the rust left a mark on the carpet, so how do I get rid of that?
hey man, on the weekend i did all that, strip your interior, get a metal grinder from canadian tire (30 bucks) put in a sandpaper disk into it, when you rip off the carpets you’ll see all the rust
just grind it all off with the rotary grinder and than spraypaint “rust primer” and than paint it “flat rubberized black” its the best way, i did it all in one day
