I usually don’t make build threads before the build is finished, but I figured what the hell. I’m bored.
1989 Toyota Supra 5-speed N/A. I bought it in December of '07 from the original owner since December of '88. Everything was original. 100% rust free. Car spent it’s whole life in Mississippi.

The 2JZGE will be ran off of 7MGTE sensors, ECU, and wiring harness.
The block just came back from the machine shop getting the cylinder walls honed and the deck resurfaced. New rings and bearings are on order from Toyota.

Took the head apart, did some porting and polishing. Installed the oil pan and water pump.

Valves are in, now for the buckets, cam shafts, and the best part… to shim the valves.
Buckets, shims, and cams are in.
Shimming is complete, cam gears and timing belt installed.

And for those wondering about the stripes on the hood, and why the photos in my intro thread don’t have them, is because I had a front-end collision and was lucky enough to find another white Supra in the scrap yard, but it had the stripes on it. After the engine build is complete, the whole car will get a coat of the original white again.
