nice, how do you tune something like this? what is your whp goals?
Looking good
Just like I would the 7MGTE. With the 440’s, I’m planing on just above 300. But Eventually, I’ll upgrade to a MAP-Ecu II and larger injectors to make more power.
Thank you.
Fuckin a.
Are there swap kits for this kind of thing? seems like you are having to DIY a lot of parts.
I don’t think I ever saw this… but now I’m glad I did.
Looking good.
Very cool build
Not for this particular swap. Only 3 other people have done what I’m doing. But as far as 2JZ swaps into the A70 chassis, there are pre-made mounts that can be bought, but that is about it. But not worth it IMO.
Thanks.
Meh, its not that bad. Just time consuming.
build looks awesome!! cant wait to see the car running!!
LOL @ ernie…lookin good!
great progress! im lovin this build
Driver side mount complete. Now finishing the passenger side. More pics to come.
Made some minor modifications to the bumper support for the intercooler.
Bumper and intercooler are going back on the car and the cold pipe will begin tomorrow.
it looks like you quit the experience with a plasma cutter haha. The bumper support looks like it came out nice.
Had to chop the compressor housing up a bit and weld in an elbow to clear the frame rail of the car.
Cold-side intercooler piping is almost complete.
Here is the intercooler plumbing specs:
2.5" plumping from turbo to intercooler --> 2.5" plumbing from intercooler to AFM --> 3" from AFM to throttle body
3" piping for intake. BOV will be placed on the hot-side piping before the intercooler.
I’m running a blow-through set-up for the AFM, so that I can vent the BOV to the atmosphere.
