Wouldn’t this have more to do with your gearing than your horsepower?[/quote]
of course it is.
Anyway … weight removal will help with 1/4, braking distance, skidpad … basically everything. And it’s free! OR even better you can sell the cosmetic stuff you pull out
matt has stock rearend, 205/55/16’s, same size as stock tires(205/65/15) and running a auto DE ecu on a 5spd. It was a simple question bob.
I only asked because Hector is running 225/45/18’s and hits 155, purdy much same setup, just 5speed ecu. Just a question…i don’t have tach, so i don’t know what my redline is. So if anyone would like to tell me stock nums that would be great.
As for cost effective, my NA motor will just need the stock de pistons put back in if i ever want to go turbo, puls i’ll have all my little NA goodies to give it a little edge.
You want to pick a fight bob, you can bring it anytime, we know how you act in public.
i figure, if jantos is hitting 171 and has a dyno sheet to prov eit, i can hit higher on higher comp and head/internal work…we’ll see i guess. i can’t wait to have it in the car
The cheapest way to go faster is spend a few hundred bucks and instal a stage 1 nitrous kit. Run a wet NOS kit so you keep it safe. It’s the cheapest way to get some serious power.
lol, seriously though, the topic was “modding without modding” right? Adding laughing gas or removing parts are all “modding”
There are no ways to add hp without touching something. Its like saying “can I float in mid-air, without anything holding me, or me holding anything, or being in space?”
Remove clutch fan, dump stereo/speakers/amps, all other goodies, remove A/C, rear seats, trim etc… that’ll free up some power (well acceleration from reduced weight) etc…
Just for the newbs on here about the post with the trowing of the rocks into your engine DONT. I am only saying because the last thing I want to see on the FAQ section is some kid asking how to put rocks into his engine lol.
hey
I love my ka24e , things a little beast
what i found to be really helpfull is like everyone else said lighting your car, take out back seats carpeting etcc… and a aftermarket clutch and shifter.
i have a aftermarket clutch im not sure what type another Son member installed it and an OBX short shifter and it makes a huge difference. i can chirp 3rd to 4th if i power shift. although i hear that the b & m is alot better quality and worth saving for.
