i debated back and forth between the two systems why do you say 360 is better? i have no idea so any pros/cons would be good to help me decide for sure. only reason i was going to go with playstation is becuase of blue ray. everything else seemed apples to apples.
Just personal opinions but
I much prefer the online aspects of the 360 to the PS3… Xbox live owns PSN in every way.
I like the exclusives on the 360 better then the PS3.
I like the controller better.
Using it as a Media Center Extender is ftw.
I have both and I consider myself a converted PS3 fan boy. I used to be all about Xbox 360 because it was so easy to get games. Ever since I got banned from Xbox Live I have been using my PS3 and have no intention of going back to Xbox.
The points SK360 makes are all opinions. When it comes down to it you’ll have to pick which one you like the best. Everything that he mentioned - I feel the total opposite about (although the Xbox has Halo, which is the only exclusive I give a rat’s ass about).
Just a few of my opinions also:
Xbox Live does not own PSN. They are so similar in every way that its hard to say one is better than the other. They both have movies, TV shows, downloadable games, viral clips, and chats. Xbox has Netflix now, PSN is getting in soon. For me the deciding factor is simply that Live is about $50 a year and PSN is free.
The games are hard to compare. Some games run smoother on PS3 and some run smoother on Xbox. For the games I play, I have preferred PS3.
I like the PS3 controller better because it is more symmetrical. I never had a problem with the Xbox having the analog sticks offset - but I prefer them how they are on PS3. I like the sensitivity and responsiveness of the PS3 controller as well. It feels more fluid and less ‘clicky’. I do prefer Xbox’s triggers though. They have more range and different levels of pressure sensitivity. The PS3 controller is also MUCH lighter and the battery lasts much longer before it needs a charge.
Both systems stream video/audio from a networked PC really well. PS3 doesn’t require extra downloads and config to get it running though. It plays quite a bit more formats from what I’ve experimented with also (not comprehensive, but geared to how I use it).
The bluray capabilities are a big plus also. I have the HD add-on for my Xbox and that is cool - but a huge waste at this point. I never wanted to spend hours upon hours downloading an HD movie from Live just to take up a good chunk of my usable hard drive space. I just prefer the disks and Xbox really lacks in that department now. Although there are still weekly rumors of a bluray add-on for Xbox, I find it hard to believe it will ever happen.

Well MW2 broke xbox live connection records, there are far more users and serious gamers on live IMO. The fact that pretty much every 360 came with a headset means everybody has them instead of having to source a bluetooth one on their own.
The 360 can now play .MKV bluray rips through Media Center Extender, no need for anything else 
You like the fact that everyone has a headset? Uggg, that shit gets annoying. The feedback and echos… the stupid kids yelling and swearing… the shit talkers… I mute everyone instantly out of habit.
That’s cool 360 plays MKV now. I was excited when it was finally able to play Divx.
Well playing tactical team games is hard when only 2 of you on a team have a headset to talk about tactics and relay information… lol

Ya although $50/year isnt bad for xbox live, free $.99 is better for psn.
As for the netflix, i thought i read somewhere you can get a free trial to netflix with a new ps3 purchase. ill let you know soon hopefully if this person ends up buying my wii that emailed me from craigslist last night. But after looking through the games for both systems, i will tend to like the ps games better i think. Plus something tells me ill end up playing some retro ps games too on the system ftw! right now the 120g ps3 is only $299 (which is the same price as the 80g system?? :dunno: ) so im hoping someone buys my wii soon so i ca nsnag one up

i have to agree with Laura i had both ps3 and 4 360s none of them broke so that was a + how ever im not gonna lie i HATED my ps3 i hated online play on the ps3 …so im back to the 360 and love it gamer tag is boostedintegra1 for anyone who wants to play

honestly, the free.99 claims for psn are going to be coming to a halt soon. PS3 is going to start charging just like live does for a shittier network. I’d rather pay the 50 bucks a year to know that everytime I sign on, it works.
I have 2 buddies with ps3’s. We all stood in line at the midnite release for mw2, I went home and immediately got online to play, guess who couldn’t get into multiplayer for at least 2 days…both of my ps3 guys, it was in articles all over gizmodo and the like that the psn network got overloaded and a TON of people were complaining about not being able to login for online play, that right there is worth the 50 bucks for me

Does anyone feel like MW2 is a lot easier than MW or WAW? I was never in the top 3 or even 5 for that matter on the old games but now when I play MW2 I am finishing in the top 3 in most of my rounds. It’s kinda weird.
i think MW was much easier. with these maps there are so many damn hiding spots its annoying. WAW just wasnt any fun to me.
this game seems a lot cheesier than mw and waw (online). it reminds of killzone 2. who gives a fuck about a banner/icon?
I think the banner/icon thing is kinda cheesy too, but it gives something else to try to stride for and unlock. As a game developer you have to add SOMETHING to the sequels to keep it different and new. Thats just one of those things that you might not see in the next one.
I got this game and am new to this type of game. Actually I suck at it. I was playing lastnight online and 2 kills is the most I got in a game. Any tips to make me a better player. Any websites with instructions?
Practice.
I am a pretty season veteran of video games. Especially the Call of Duty series and I suck at it too. Right now all the hard core players are online so it really makes my lack of skill stand out.
