Beast warz!!!

Anybody see and want review the new American pie movie and Justice league?

American Pie was pretty funny, i mean i saw it only because ive seen the rest of them but it wasnt too bad. i thought the opening seen was pretty hilarious to be honest.

The Avengers was fucking bad ass as well, i cant get over how awesome Robert Downey Jr plays Iron Man. Perfect fit

Yeah American Reunions worth the watch if you where the right age when the first one came out. Good adolescent nostalgia.

Watched Safe House the other night. Was somewhat suprised by the movie, knowing it was a more “serious” movie I still expected Ryan Reynolds to put on his usual funny charm, aside from a single line at the end of the movie if you were paying attention he played a very serious roll. I was quite suprised by the movie, although a bit predictable it kept me tense throughout. Overall a good movie, and its got denzel, I can’t think of a denzel movie I haven’t enjoyed.

Also watched Ghost Rider Spirit of vengeance. Way more retarded than the first one, and it hardly seems to follow the first movie if at all. I never read or knew about the ghost rider comic so maybe this second one follows it more closely? IDK it was fun to watch because Ghost rider looks bad ass, but realistically it was very stupid. They changed up how he did the deal for his soul with the devil a little bit, and completely changed the mentality of johny blaze when in ghost rider form especially if comming off the first movie. The special effects were done horribly as well in a lot of areas.

Went and saw Prometheus last night at crossgates. I’ve been really excited for this movie since I first heard about it a few years ago, at the time is was believed to be a definitive prequel to the movie Alien. Last year there was an interview with Ridley Scott, a couple actually where he said this movie was in fact not an alien prequel as originally thought to be but there would be some very subtle ques from the Alien movie.

Regardless, Alien was one of my favorite movies so I was extremely excited to see this being that a few Ridley movies ive seen in the past were great.

The movie overall was quite good in my opinion, theres only 3-4 tiny parts in the whole movie that really relate to Alien but to be honest they were hardly subtle especially the last bit which had me quite surprised since Ridley last year was trying to make the distinction clear that it has nothing to do with Alien, well if you ask me the end ties this movie to Alien and it makes me wonder if everyone being so hyped about it maybe being an alien prequel that it got added in last minute.

Overall the movie is stunning to look at, the story is interesting, though some questions just don’t get answered, there seemed to me anyways a lot of holes in what was going on throughout the movie, things are brought up but not explained, which makes me wonder if there is going to be a sequel to the prequel. Some things just don’t make sense, id mention them but they would spoil the movie a bit… The only question I think that really gets answered is at least where the Aliens originated from and what their purpose was, though its vague and not definitive.

It was fun to watch, but not 100% what I expected.

Any and all stupid and vague things happening in Prometheus you can thank the genius screenwriter Lindendorf of Lost fame for. Ofcourse, Scott has to get credit for letting him have his way with the script. To me movie was a total letdown, and a jumbled mess.
Or, and Rapace needs to see a doctor about those cheekbones of hers.

Just gonna leave this here…:rofl

Almost as good as Doom’s “couple of million light years”, with the movie taking place on Mars.

Went and saw The Dark Knight Rises at the Clifton Park RPX theater last night at 330AM

So glad I went at 330, there were 6 other people in there with us, I love watching movies in a vacant theater with true hardcore nerds who know how to keep their fucking mouths shut throughout a movie :lol

I am not a hardcore comic fan, so whether or not the movie followed the comic exactly means absoloutely nothing to me.

Overall I really enjoyed it, the cinematography was excellent like in previous movie, the music and audio was amazing, and the story overall was pretty good. I do feel as though Bruce’s own internal struggles were more of the focus of the movie at times then the overall villainous story as a whole, its amazing to see a super hero story like this come together in a more believable fashion, all the elements that we know about batman but taking a more realistic and believable approach. The one thign I will say though is it doesnt keep you on the edge of your seat like The Dark Knight did, it was dark and grimm, it kept you asking how much worse could it get… which while the dark knight rises still being an amazing film in my opinion, just doesnt quite get to that point that the dark knight did.

Ann Hathaway actually did a great job as catwoman, I was very skeptical because A) Its ann hathaway and B) Oh great now we have another character to try and throw into the mix, but really… her role in the movie overall was quite small, and she did an amazing job playing a seductive and sly character. They portrayed catwomans/batmans relationship correctly which made me really happy as well

Now, geting away from the movie I want to talk about the Clifton Park RPX Theater. Its “Regals Premium Experience” High back leather seats that recline quite a bit, the rows are stacked steeply meaning no real chance of having someones head cutting off some of your view, tons of legroom and a 60’ wide screen for your viewing pleasure along with a 9 channel surround sound setup with 8 21" subwoofers

Let me say that the sound is absolutely amazing, the sound was the best part about the whole thing, its crisp, its clear, the bass is deep but not overpowering… they did an amazing job setting up the audio system, it is without a doubt one of the best theater experiences i’ve had in terms of audio

The video was actually another story, while it looked good, the screen was big and you felt immersed in the movie, the picture was slightly out of focus, and this drived me fucking insane… many times there were shots that just should have looked crisp and beautiful that just were lacking detail and pissing me right the fuck off. If there is one thign I am its a videophile, im a fucking nazi and to spend 15 bucks for a blurry picture pissed me off.

That aside though, it is one of the best theater experiances ive had overall and I would deff recommend the RPX theater.

Saw it in the RPX tonight, loved it.

Saw it at Colonie Center yesterday. I thought Avengers was good, but Batman was better. Prometheus was really good too, but Im into the Aliens series hard.

Prometheus sucked, any true alien fan would know that :rofl

I mean, it wasnt bad… I did enjoy watching it, im sure ill get it on Blu-Ray and watch it quite a few times…

but there was to much going on, and way to many loose ends

DONT CARE WONT DIE

:lol

Abe Lincoln movie was bad ass

Shady - glad to see someone else actually liked Dark Knight Rises…

I loved it, but everyone I have talked to so far said they hated it. It was different and awesome to see a “Super Hero” proven to be just another guy. I also was surprisingly OK with the fact that Batman wasn’t in the movie for a good half hour…

It wrapped up Christopher Nolans take on the series quite nicely, unfortunately…

SPOILER, DONT FUCKING SCROLL DOWN IF YOU DONT WANT TO SEE IT

Nolan wanted to wrap up the trilogy with batman thought to be engulfed in a giant nuclear explosion, but hollywood wouldn’t allow it as they wanted some sort of backing to re-boot the series, unfortunately I don’t think anyone will do as good of a job as nolan did, we all know hollywood something that does great their going to suck dry until everyone realizes its shit and stops going, which usually takes awhile…

It was not my favorite of the series, but I did like it stupid little shit aside

You fucking ruined the movie for me, thanks shady

Yes Man - typical comedy with Jim Carey based on a simple plot. Good way to get a chuckle or two and kill some time

James Bond Casino Royale/Quantum Solace - good bond films although they don’t necessarily carry with the Bond tradition. Not enough gadgets, clever moments and problem solving. Just enough action to keep one interested.

Captain America - not being familiar with the cartoon story the movie is a good action superhero flick. Eerie similarities to the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in how the plot plays out in it’s major acts.

Saw the campaign on Friday. It’s worth watching I was laughing throughout most of the movie. Ferrell and galafanaikas make a great combination.
