i think Bing has defended his product enough.
he says QA1 makes the parts. good, it’s not a no-name company by any means.
chromoly>aluminum of same size and thickness. yes, very obvious, but he also stated the aluminum parts are built thicker than the steel counter part. let’s not even get into the rusting issue. every car rusts. it’s how you go about trying to prevent it that counts.
he also said if you don’t want aluminum, don’t buy it. i don’t even know if i would condone using any multi-link kit on our streets. every company states “for off road use only” for a reason. OEM was designed to take twisting and bending and jarring and hence the stamped shape. in WPG we have road gaps and potholes and rippled/overlapped pavement everywhere; it’s unavoidable.
i might track aluminum, and i would try steel on the street, but i wouldn’t expect it to last longer than a stock part. then again, who expects any aftermarket part to last longer than stock? suspension especially. i always expect to pay for new shocks every 2 years, along with top mounts and other soft rubber pieces.
