Joe’s lawyer got him out of his misdemeanor, she’s pretty fair with what she charges too.
I think Delucia and probably Stallmer have had her help them out too come to think of it.
I know what thats like. Had a couple lawyers before but they didn’t get any further then when I fight the tickets myself…good luck swift.

ok fuck it, here it goes:
So i’m delivering pizza’s tuesday night. I’m the only driver. My car is basically out of gas but we were so busy all night i didnt have time to stop. Greg ***** comes into Paesans with his GTO. He’s like you can take my car on delivery if you want. I dont really think about how much of a target it is, and i’m like alright sure. So he tosses me the keys, i put the food in the passenger seat and hop in. I start it and pull out before a bunch of traffic goes by. So now i’m heading towards x-gates on western, in traffic, in greg’s $40k muscle car, tinted windows, sterio blasting, trying to adjust the side mirrors/seat so i can see/pay attention. We’ll i pull up to the light at Johnson rd, and i notice that he doesn’t have a rear-view mirror. It’s a TV monitor. Which caught me off guard, but the light turned while i was looking around trying to figure out where all the buttons in his car were. So i go for the gas forgetting that it’s a muscle car and im not use to the pedal pressure, and i spin the tires and get a little sideways and let out. Fucking scared myself cause it caught me off guard, so i get into the right lane and go around this bus. I get back in the left lane infront of mobil, and start slowing down for the light. I hear a siren, and i I look in the side mirror and theres a Guilderland cop flying up behind me w/ his lights on. The light infront of me turns green and i legitimately wasn’t thinking he was after me, so i speed up and get over into the right lane expecting for him to go by me. He flys up behind me and tells me to pull over, and so i do. Obviously i’m nervous, not about getting pulled over, but more about parking gregs car on the curb/sidewalk… cause he will kill me. I park the car, and turn it off. Now the cop is out of the car and walking up and i can’t find the fucking window button, as i realize my ID/wallet is in my other car. (pizza guys have been getting robbed so i dont keep all my money on me) So now i have to open the door because he’s standing outside the car with his hand on his gun. As soon as i open the door he yells “get the fuck out of the car and put your hands behind your back” Well fuck me, i got out and i was like “wtf man, chill out this isnt my car i couldnt find the window button”. He goes “You’re under arrest for driving without a license, running from me, and i’ll find whatever you just hid in your car”

I’m so confused at this point, but to not make things worse, i dont struggle as he cuff’s me and puts me in the back of the car. After he searched through the car, and finds nothing (thank god, who knows if there was anything in the car) he comes back to the car and starts asking me questions. “why were you trying to get away, and why are you driving without a licence?” I was like… Honestly sir, i never tried to get away, i pulled over as soon as i saw you behind me, and it took me a while to park/get out because it’s not my car its my friends, i’m delivering pizzas for Paesans… i have a valid license, and i’m not Greg *****. He insists i’m lieing and asks for ID, which ofcourse i conveniently don’t have on me. He starts writing me tickets, in greg’s name. Now im’ like dude… I know alot of Guilderland Cops so i ask him to please call one of them and verify who i am. He ignores me again until 2 other cops show up. They talk behind the car for like 15minutes, and he gets back in. He gets back in the car and asks me for all of my personal information, which i give him. He goes back to the tickets and changes all the names from greg’s to mine and prints them out.
Basically when i pulled out of paesans, he was behind me at the light at Johnson rd. When i accidently blipped the throttle and spun the tires, he saw it and ran the plate. Car came up w/ driver having a suspended license, and since i didnt see him behind me i was going like 55. He apparently turned his lights on then, but since there was no rear-view mirror i didnt see him until i changed lanes. By then he was flying up on me thinking i was trying to get away. So since he never ID’ed me, and just… placed me under arrest, and then never arrested me, he thought i was someone i wasn’t. I figured speeding/unsafe start would have been bad enough.
He wrote me for: Reckless Driving, Failure to comply w/ lawful order, Speed not reasonable and prudent, Unsafe start, window tint, loud exhaust.
And before anyone says anything, that story is 100% true and accurate. I’ve done stupid things before, and legitimately been wrong and i would have no problem telling it otherwise… and i don’t deny speeding/unsafe start… but he went over the top rambo-cop on me, and didnt believe a word i said, which made him look stupid, so he just changes the names on the tickets after he finds out i wasn’t lying the whole time? Asshole.
Sounds like a civil suit to be honest.
He left out the part where Greg had to come and yell at the cop and tell him that it was his car and the suspension release was right above the visor. :tong
well my court date is the 19th, so i’m going to go plea not guilty to everything, obviously. then when i get my new court date i’ll go and see what the DA offers me on my own, and tell him if its not good enough i’m going to get a serious traffic lawyer, and take it to small claims. He cuffed me for no reason, cut my wrist because he cuffed me over my watch, which also put scratches on it. And if i’m not arrested, why am i behind humiliated on Rt. 20 sitting in the back of a cop car for 30minutes? Not to mention, giving me asshole tickets like tint/exhaust on a car that isnt mine, he’s retarded… he wrote those to the owner, greg, which is proof he just changed the names on the tickets.
Oh yeah, to add insult to injury, Greg’s license wasn’t suspended anymore anyways, and the paper work for it was in the car, which he pulled me out of and hand-cuffed me before i could find.

To be honest, it would have been ugly because I don’t give a fuck if George Bush was there because I would have FLIPPED the fuck out.
There’s no reason to be treated like that.
The sad thing is that I believe him 100% without hesitation.
To be honest, I am not sure what I’d do but that’s up to the lawyer. I’d be pressing for all charges dropped and more. I wonder if Times Union is interested.
I’d also be pressing for writing up complaints against the offending officer.
i’ve done alot of stupid things. but it’s 7pm on a tuesday, i’m the only driver for paesans, i’m in a friends car, which i shouldnt have taken/been in. I wasn’t running, nor did i see him behind me or i would have been way more careful. But i was delivering pizzas, and i never did anything except maybe 15mph over, and i didnt do like a massive burnout at that light, i just spun the tires. I just wish he was less hardcore about things, would have taken a speeding ticket without any issue.
the thing is i feel like an asshole, because i shouldnt have taken his car without driving it before. i know i was somewhat in the wrong, and i’ve gotten away with alot of shit, so a ticket now and then is fine, and i dont have a problem with it, but this was just over the top. like… 6 tickets after you find out i’m a local pizza guy, that you’ve met before, and i’m in a borrowed car on my way to deliveries?
he didnt even let me call my work so i could have someone else come get the food, all the orders for the rest of the night were like 45minutes late.

I could see maybe unsafe start + speeding violation if he really wanted to flex his stupid cop muscle… but I do think the way things played out was way over the top. Not long ago Bethlehem had an officer who had a write up about him in the paper 'cause he was that big of a douche. Shawn had a good idea… maybe see what the local news thinks of the whole deal.
