Looks really nice, but doesn’t seem like it would do anything in a roll over with a t-top car. 
I thought people choose to stay away from chromoly for roll bars based on teching in or something at the track?

Nope. They are just as legal, but they cost more. A 6-point chromoly will typically run around $200-$250 more for the pre-bent type. If you look at $$$ per lb saved it is well worth it though. Anytime you can get down to the $10/lb weight savings it is money well spent.
