yea it used to be the front fender :mamoru:
Cool, I think I liked the OE gas tank a little bit better.
cool project… i like the skinny tire, but bobbers were never my bag. did you sell the vstar?
What are you doing with the frame? PC? I would mock everything up and strip it all down again (if you decide to stick with this particular frame) and PC everything black or whatever color you decide to go with and then accent other small pieces like the tank/components another color.
Another cool idea would to order new spokes and do a two color wheel combo. PC the lips of them one color and do the spokes a different?
But I don’t want to give away too many of my ideas
thanks for the motivation LOL, yesterday i went nuts working on my cafe CB550…got the motor pulled and a good amount of the mock-up done for my cafe seat.
your making good progress keep it up.
here are some pics as it was before the bobber process started…
X2
ughhh, i realy dont think i like the honda tank. not sure???
grrrr… anyone?
new handlebars should be here anyday now. you guys think i should go for a clean look and eliminate the guages? its a 350cc lol i dont think ill speeding around too much.
I like where the honda tank sits, but not the tank itself.
I like the new tank, it gives it more of a bare skeleton look!
Love this built man!
Looks good, gonna need a long ass chain.
Definitely the Honda tank IMHO
Keep it coming this build is cool as hell!
Nice job…with that style, I would have gone cafe racer looking myself…just me though. Like stated the way the honda tank sits is better than the other, just doesn;t fit though
i like how the honda tank covers that bare upper space of the frame, but over all i like the new tank better as far as design.
i would keep the gauges, just so u can know how slow you’re really going when u think you are going fast
the honda tank is not bad ass jon!
peanut tanks are!
OEM > peanut
The honda tank fits better IMO, and I think if you left the painted honda on it it would look awesome like a big fuck you to all the chopper guys.
handle bars are in. I measured the wrong set of handlebars before i ordered these. so i now have 1in handlebars that need to be 7/8. so im gunna have to modify some stuff to make them work. lol Im also experimenting with suicide shifter locations. The plan is to actually install the clutch lever on the suicide shifter.
I still have a million different fitment issues like the tank for instance that i need to figure out.
Woot, Love the bars, makes it look sick…
Edit: Hope you have a good back.
I hate that type of bars soo much, if you are making it suicide shift you need something wide to give you some balance when turning slow in traffic and using both feet for brake and clutch. like this,
