My Build Thread LS1/FD Its Fast!

Yes, they are in fact hands down the worst aftermarket automotive company I have ever dealt with.

Suck that hanress is so shitty. Luke if you have any questions on the PCM harness I know what everything dose, and the min you need to run the motor with the gm harness plus the fans and fuel. I’m down to like 62-64 pcm pins. Putting the PCM inside, and wiring it into the 2step but can still bypass it if it dies to run the car.
whats your plans for loom? I’m only gonna run it really minimal and easy inside the car, but got some good stuff for the engine bay

The entire harness is being loomed in split braided hotness.

ya thats what i got, and some super high heat stuff for around the headers, and the clutch line (already run some)

I am amazed that all your hard work did not go up in flames because of this harness. A lot of the loom literally smelled like burning rubber when I took it apart.

Likewise. Hopefully when this is done you will have peace of mind. Car builds suck when certain things are out of your hands and you can’t trust the work.

Thanks for the offer. I know there are a few things I will need to track down. I’ll get back to you.

That is insane how this car ran.Great job luke.I dont mind electrical repairs but would start that harness on fire

Wow, that’s wild. Good work so far guys

Thanks!

Building cars is fun. That is all.

Haven’t worked on the car in over a week and might not till this Saturday night. However i did find some time last weekend to make some garage art. No need to be too critical I am no artist nor am I trying to be. My sister has a studio out in Rochester so I made these for fun while visiting her for garage art. They are HUGE 3’x4’ and I am going to put them on the ceiling. I should mention that neither are 100% done as I am still going to add flames and a robot guy to the black one and the green guy needs a black body on the copper one still.

lol that’s awesome.

Sometimes the most enjoyable art comes from non-artists. Hopefully Scott will see this and post up one of his pieces.

Oh, and ever thought of putting a coat of white over the OSB? Makes the garage brighter:)

OSB? oh the plywood. hmmmm

wow! that harness is insanity, i really cant believe someone sells that my god. thank god nothing ever happened…

luke is the man, he looks to do some amazing work. i dont know how he has the patience, i fucking hate wiring lol

tired to warn him

wow drew, im really glad this shit is getting gone threw and done 100% the right way. will be clean and a sick rx7 when done

Studderin what did you try to warn me of? That harness came with the car. But nice i told you so fail attempt. lol fggt

Thanks Steve! I am for real going through the entire car. It is amazing/tiring/expensive to build a car this in depth.

Some more stuff from powder. Yes I even powdered my boor and hood hinges. This stuff looks SOOOOO good in person. I am going to start putting the car back to being a roller this weekend probably then start making this darn turbo kit. Oh where does the time go.

Now to show some contrast of the colors together.

About how much Hinson blows, so you could get rid of the tq arm, shitty harness, not order the shitty headers that didn’t fit. It’s amazing how successful Hinson is with the kind of parts they turn out…

Thanks, the main problems were finding out what was wrong with the Hinson harness. A harness swap is not that difficult provided you can follow the wiring from start to finish. Being that Drew is VERY conscientious about his builds it made this much easier when we pulled everything apart to keep it organized.

If it was not for Drew being the type of dude he is I guarantee you that this project would be a disaster.

EDIT: Those paintings are badass.

LOL, did you find that harness on the bottom of the ocean or something?!?

You’ll have fun cleaning it up
