My car wont start, help?

alright my car wont start , its a 1997 240sx se and the problem is that it wont start, the horn works and the lights work but when i try to start the car it tries to start but wont, then that is followed by a rapid repeating clicking sound, im thinking that its the battery but the horn and lights still work, or could it be the starter?

any help could be appreciated

Can you get it push started ?

If so it’s most likey your battery or solenoid / starter. Take it to CT where they will bench test both for free I think.

It is most probably your starter. Take a metal rod (from your jack or something) and tap the starter with it. Do this a few times and it should start.
