I’m glad Autodreams name was cleared… fits my theory perfectly, they just bit off more than they could chew and outsourced. :?
Garage works Likely would have been a better choice for the bodyshop work. But I can see how it would be a lot easier to just have all the work done in one place.
not always …but outsourcing leads to less quality control and alot of suprises and work being dumped on one another
Garage works would outsource body work as well, as they are a tint/3m/remote starter kind of place.
Glad to hear everything is working out
Yea , where does Garage Works send their customers for body work ?!

I thought they were doing it in house. It sure would be nice to know who they use.

I am guessing you have never been there. Yes they might do small stuff in house, but a full widebody, full paint etc is usually always sent out
I have driven buy, I do on a nearly daily basis. From the looks of it they have more then enuff room to do the work in house.
from what i’ve seen…the back area would only have enough room for 2 cars to come in and work comfortably on…not to mention i didn’t see a paint booth or any type of prep room
wow , recommending somewhere for body shop that you never been there or got anything done…
plain smart.
I have seen cars that they did the work on. I don’t have to go to a shop to see thier work. Most of the cars I have seen come out of garage works for body work have near perfect body gap. I have never heard of anyone having a problem with the service that they recive there. Why would I not recommend them. Do you know of some reason that I shouldn’t ?
What car garageworks put a widebody on ?! or what full body kit paint ?! or full paint ?!
its a tint/alarm/parts store.
Since when they do in-house widebody installation ?!
In all honesty I could really care less if they do the work in house. They obviously know someone that does high quality work. The end result is what really matters. You should be all over that considering you just bought your car. Why do the work your self when you can just get someone else to do it properly for you.
.
he bought his car at a fantastic price, i think that everyone, given the opertunity to do everything over again would do the same, why sink 20k into a car that has less parts than a car that cost 8k?
Garage works phone number is in the phone book. Call them and find out for yourself where they get their body work done. I do believe it is Transform Spoilers though.
This thread is about a guys experience with Autodream. Lets keep it to that.
thankee
things are looking pretty good as of now, i’m hoping things continue like this in the spring.
Glad to hear that Autodream contacted you and everything is getting fixed. Wouldnt expect less from them.
on that note, I am going to finish with, Variable is still a fucking moron who deserves a beating and will get it.
Izzz nice, I like.
were a happy family, common chill out put differences asideand respect them.and as for autodream I wanna work there someday cuz it would be a better job then ordinary mechanics and I have heard good things about there reputation!hope everything works out!
I’m truly sorry for what has happened to your vehicle. Communication was very bad and we steps could have been taken in order to fix them. I should have given you Ronny’s # from the beginning so you could have spoken with him directly without having to have a middle man (me) mitigating everything.
There were alot of times where I had absolutely no clue as to what was happening with the vehicle as it was not in our possession, where I needed to contact the body man in order to know exactly what was happening to the work being done. I can’t tell you anything that was false so I had to call in order to find out the progress, and getting a hold of the person was a problem.
As far as the other problems with the vehicle as far as the harness goes, that was done without our knowledge, it was not brought to our attention until it was already removed. We remove all faceplates of vehicles being parked in our lot to prevent thefts. We are making progress in obtaining your faceplate for you. The rear end also had quite a bit of frame damage which needed to be straightened in order to get all the body parts lined up.
I took this on to help turn your dream into a reality. Jobs like this would usually call for us to supply the parts then forward you to a bodyshop to get work done. But, due to you living in North West Territories, I wanted to do everything for you including providing a bodyshop for you so you could just lay back and let us take care of the rest. I did not expect this to drag on for so long.
The finished product was definitely not up to our standards. Nguyen was willing to pay for a plane ticket back to nwt and back to Calgary to pick it up, but it was clear that you wanted to pick up the car with no other options. It would’ve been best if we had more time to finish off the bodyman’s work. I understand that you were waiting a long time for your vehicle and I apologize. Whether or not we were doing the work cannot be excused as the car was left in our hands, and we are responsible for all the work that had to be done to complete.
As for any other complaints or problems, feel free to pm or email me at: info@autodream.ca.
Now that ^ is why they have the reputation they do. :thumb
