i’m glad they are on my car. center caps will not be installed until repainted. thanks again brett. ;D

just picked up a set of stainless headers. will wrap in black dei tape and take pics when installed!!! ;D

damn dude ur gettin bit redic with it lol

let me know how it goes we might have to do a set on mine

the good thing is you can get one for like 120 shipped :nod

NICE!!! We’re doin some headers next??!?! SCORE!!! :banana

ps- lift should be open hopefully end of the day tomarrow.

Saw this thing today, new wheels are really growing on me :thumb

thanks for all the kind words fellas… yep o.j. headers will be put in soon, but e36 is first. i’ll be calling you tomorrow about that. ;D

This sounds sweeeet. The VR6 is the only V6 that sounds as nice as a VQ, IMO (see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66FXqaLtcsk&feature=related) :banana :banana :banana

actually if you wanna get technical the vr isnt really a v6 it has only 1 cylinder head. Its basically a straight 6 with the pistons offset, thats why they sound like supras.

V-Reihenmotor … V inline motor… the VQ is a bit raspy compared to the VR6… a 24valve VR6 is nasty, but i still like the old 12v better

exactly

yup… the pistons are staggered, and at a 15 deg. angle.

the 24v does have a different sound obviously, but the taste is subjective. the mk3 12v has a few more tweaks that can be done over the mk4 12v version. the intake manifold is a big one that comes to mind. this is one of the next bottlenecks i will address. i plan on cleaning up (de-ramping) the throttlebody at the same time.

headers will be here next thursday. i’m grabbing some black dei wrap in the meantime. no pretty colors visible on the pipes, but at least the heat will stay in the exhaust where it belongs. :tong

hopefully it doesnt crack, my VR6 header cracked from heat wrap. i had a Genie header, one of the best ones made

yeah ditto, hopefully not, but if it does, it can be welded easy enough.

Twin turbo the vr6!! if theres room

:wtf :confused

I figured if his header might crack why not just throw some snails on ther ein the process :crackup

yeah its quite possible, and has been done before, but my plans are to keep this car n/a as my daily driver and all through the winter. makes more sense due to driveability/ reliability issues. my e36 will be boosted eventually though. :ninja
