60-80k miles. '01’s so no glovebox and a few other small details. First model year. Shoot me a PM I’m about to get on the road, I’ll hit you with some links tomorrow or tonight.
It’s on my list as my next car probably 3 years down the line when the bottom in the 40’s. I watched two go for $48k in the past month. Clear titles, etc. I love the thought of it as my year round daily. Killer looks, killer AWD for the winter, and killer RWD for the summer (pull the driveshaft, doesnt fuck the car up)
I’d vote for the MRS. I was inches from buying one but the car was literally sold the day before I decided to take the plunge in to Wants>Needs. Some people called them a porshe wanna be, but it really hold it’s own.
Edit - unless you’re getting the model with the paddle shifter, these cars hsoul be in the $15k or less range. And just to note, there’s almost NO room to turbo the one with a paddle shifter.
i wouldnt say porsche wannabe…moreso a lighter budget boxter…i think the MRS is a great idea…but you need to weigh the differences…do u care about wanting to look classy? do u care that the tubro mrs will be a lot of work?
2002ish Porsche C4S - (~$42K) Would stay pretty much stock, maybe some Turbo parts - such as brakes, suspension, but nothing crazy. Dunno if I would drive all year, but would be on the road all year. These cars are pretty awesome, however do come with a steep maint cost, especially lower cost ones with higher mileage.

I have done some thinking about a 996 as a year round daily, and think that dropping down to a C4 would be a better move. Smaller brakes will be easier to fit a reasonable sized Winter wheel/tire combo over, yet it will still be fantastic, because it is a Porsche. A bit more affordable too!
