99 F-250 wont go into any gear. Comes out of park while on the brakes but then wont catch any gear, it will almost just fall down to first. Checked the two hex screws to the linkage and they’re fine. Anyone know about this? Thanks in advance
Linkage popped off the tranny would be my guess. Look better!

I feel like it has to be a problem in the column itself, the shifter is just completely loose. Fucking a its just sitting outside dicks on transit right now lol not what I needed
On the bright side, linkage issues are usually an easy fix!
EDIT: You could have someone sit in it and hold the brake and crawl and shift it manually from underneath just to get it home.

i did it from springville to buffalo when i had to bring my winter car home, from sitting outside the linage rusted and broke, i took channellocks and forced it into drive and drove it home
