need help with car running, then engine dying

ok, i will try to make it simple. whenever i drive for over an hour so on the highway, my engine will not respond to throttle. the engine is still on, and idles, but when i hit the gas, it wont go, i have to put it neutral, shut off, then restart. which is real dangerous since this happens during freeway driving. i checked for basics, no leaks on any hoses, belt just got replaced, alternator is fairly new, battery is new,…

a guy at pep boys said since i have a catless header, that the one under the car can become clogged, build up with residue or something, and that would cause my problem…honeslty, anyone who can help me figure this out, it would be great.

by the way, it is a 2006 nissan sentra se-r, 2.5 liter if that info is needed
mods are i/h/e/, underdrive pulley, safc-2, tbs, ims, ported tb, ported im…

could be a maf sensor. or if you do have a cat that could be clogged

i’d see if there are any codes in it…

ok, thank you. i did some more searching, and that is the number 1 reason from what i found.
