I have it, works great, you have to run the wire for the magnetic antenna (mine sticks our of the back trunk lid) then it plugs into a cig lighter (I still need to hardwire it in)
I got it because it was cheap and fit in the cubby hole in my dash perfect, it doesnt have the huge display like the other models, instead it just scrolls the text, but it is just as functional as the other units, and i like using the remote anyway so I don’t have to reach over…

My sat antenna is on the rear deck of the car, the signal is good, not perfect, but it helps to deter would-be theives with the Magnetic “steal me” flag on the trunklid.

Yeah has to be mounted outside… Mine like I said is on the decklid… thats where I have always seen them
