Sure it depends on the situation. I’m just saying that there are times when buying new can make sense. Factory discounts and low interest rates can offset the premium pretty quickly in some cases.
Dang. So when do you pick up yours?
Just a thought - the BMW 328x sedan prices I see on a local dealer’s website starts at $43k
The 335x is up at $53k.
OTOH, the Cadillac CTS4 3.6DI (the 304 HP engine) starts at $44k at another dealer’s local website. And I’d bet that GM is offering bigger discounts now than BMW would. Also, A G37X is out there for $39k.
I’d say, it’s a buyer’s market. Go ahead and shop around, see what you like.
I agree, CPO is the only way to go. However I’d vote for a CPO’d Audi
Unless you can get new car financing on your used car purchase

you guys could fuck up a wet dream.

Hes not asking IF he should take on the debt…
Hes not asking about cars NOT OUT YET…
He came here with specific purchase points and you fucks STILL CAN’T DRAW INSIDE THE LINES.
Lets try this again.
TS has stipulated, explained, and continued to standby a bit of a theme here:

That was the worse car I have ever driven, the auto trans only made it worse… seriously no car should come with a 7 speed trans
7 gears? Does it ever stop shifting?
eat me
no, it doesn’t that is the annoying part, steering was so loose and un responsive, the interior rattled on a car with 4k miles, the steering wheel was small but the rim was thin, the radio was less intuitive than iDrive…
The S60R is hot. I’ve spent a lot of time in one… and may actually end up with it.
I would go new sti over EVO X anyday. Not too many including me would go for the paddle shift only option on the evo X
I read somone mentioned the new Taurus SHO coming out and I had no idea but looks like fords bringing something interesting out to the market, I donno if the body is my style but you can’t go wrong with a v6 twin turbo with 360hp in AWD hopfully it comes in a manuel option.
BMW’s twin turbo 1 series is definitly somthing that id be into if I had 40g’s to spend. Usually BMW’s come with a maintenance free warrenty… Free oil changes and basic factory maintenance which usually lasts 100k miles.
Could always go with a lotus or even VW is coming out with an r20 in 2011 - 10 should be around or less then 30k and its AWD with a 2.0 direct injection turbocharged engine.
Its a buyers market so you should have alot of options.
CPO BMW X3 + light aluminum trailer + built E30
(there are so many other combinations that would be better than that though)
Drive some of them and let us know what you think. A friend of mine got an 08 CTS DI with the AWD for well under $40k. He had a G35 before and hated it, yet loves his CTS. I’m curious as to what your experiences would be after driving many of the cars mentioned.
Buying a 40k GM now, and then trading it in in 2 years for 13k is not saving a shitload!
This is why we can’t have nice things.
oh you are supposed to take that into consideration?!?!? That is the truth like whoa though. Hence i agree go with the CPO. I know i most likely will after the lease on the TL is up.
yuppie status.
