New shoes...Soon suspension.

I recently bought a set of Rota Boost wheels in bronze, the specs are 17x8, 35mm offset. I just got the tires for them, 255/40/17 Azenis Rt-615. Here are the pictures with no fitment issues.

As you can see by the last picture I need to do my suspension soon. The rear tires are only contacting the ground with 3/4 of the surface. This will be fixed by the Ingalls rear camber adjuster. I’m also going to be installing the complete energy suspension bushing set, Tien coilover suspension with EDFC, rear swaybar and eliminating active rear toe within the next month.
But as of right now I am really happy with the improvement in handling just from the new wheels and rubber.

Wow, looks awesome :headbang: :eekdance:

those look a lot better than your old wheels

Who’s HOTT 2G is that in the background?

No fitment issues?

I like the wheels, but I don’t care for the offset.

try to keep these ones on the ground…looks nice

looks good Gary…so when are you and Skrapper going to run each other? lol

looks good

+1

Offset in the front looks unplanned/miscalculated. Rear would look great with a slight pull.

I personally love the offset. Not only is that the only way to clear the front struts…but I think it looks agressive as hell.

 Gary

looking good gary!

I like it

I am pretty sure that the offset was planned and calculated since I had to choose the specs when I ordered them. I wanted 17x8 wheels with a 255 tire so I figured out what offset would clear my suspension and ordered. Hence no fitment issues, the tires do not rub on the inner wheel wells even during tight turns. I personally like the offset, it gives it a very aggressive looking stance and it handles like a mofo.

The rear will not only look correct but will handle better with the Ingalls rear camber adjuster previously mentioned.

Just as a sidenote the stock tire for this vehicle is 205/55/16, the widest most people can usually fit is 225-235 tires.

I have the same wheel specs and offset as yours. I am really happy with mine too!! Looks awesome!!

235’s even stick out.
As seen on mine…

REMEMBER one thing Function > Form.

Again great choice.

Yours stick out almost exactly as much as mine do. I guess I have a good frame of reference if I decide to go to 255’s looking at Gary’s car as do you…

I get that the offset and width were planned. It just bothers me esthetically. Of course as you said, function FTW.

I’m happy to see you got the appropriated tire for the rim width. A VDub guy would have bought a 9" wide wheels with a 205 tire.

I <3 VDubs:D

Well it’s obvious that you put some thought into your purchase. I never suggested otherwise.

I just think it “looks” awkward/unplanned. Some wide fenders would change that though.

like this fagmo?

He is my hero.
