How bad would it be if I put a new cam in but had to wait possibly 3-4 weeks to start up the engine. I know you should get the valvetrain together and started as soon as possible so everything stays lubed, but that probably won’t happen until early November. Better to just wait and do it all at once?
There will be a delay anyway, because I need to check the pushrod length and THEN order the pushrods.

No problem with the lifters sitting? Is it possible to pre-lube everything (run the oil pump)? I assume the intake manifold has to be off to get to the pump shaft?

i have a shalf u can hook to a drill,to per pump up oil,but dont do that till ur ready to fire it!cause u will wipe off all thge ass lube!
