NHL vs NFL..

when its 2 brawlers, yes, its “classy” in the sense that its not some goon fighting against wayne gretzky

When it comes to the NFL, I am a Bills fan more than a football fan. With the NHL, I’m a hockey fan first and foremost. I’d rather watch 2 of the lamest NHL teams go at it, rather than a relatively good NFL game, ie. Indy Vs Pittsburgh.

NFL > NHL all day long.

I’m guessing you really love commercial breaks, budweiser, Dan Marino flipping out on camera, and illiterate morons making millions of dollars for your entertainment.

Football is okay, but it wouldn’t be NEARLY as successful if their marketing wasn’t fucking incredible. The game itself is pretty sub-par compared to hockey.

Here’s the video of Marino freaking out, in case anyone hasn’t seen it yet.

And yet they are still laying 150 people due to the recession. Hey how about instead of laying 150 off, they go to the players and say if we take a minute portion of your unbelievable salary we could keep these people employed?

No reason why they should be having money problems.

fixed…

The commercial breaks the Sabres have are a joke. Having the best TV ratings in the League and having one of the worst incomes. (we’re the only city that hockey beats American Idol) Maybe if they had more than 5 companies advertise during those breaks we’d be all set.

At least juggle the commercials with the old and new ones. At least we don’t have the Campbell sweaty palms one anymore.

With that said I really only enjoy Monday Night Football and Bills games, and the occasional pick up game.

I like hockey more.

Its also a different thing to fight on ice than it would be to fight on the 50 yard line. Plus the NFL is getting a little ridiculous with calls in regards to roughness. Quarterbacks are protected a little to much sometimes and why would they remove the endzone celebrations.
