Ninety1two40's 240sx

Really? You’re the first I’ve heard say that. A few guys on s-chassis.com said they were really satisfied with GODSPEED.

I know you’re not going to the track. I only said that is because I’ve researched them and found them to be proven. If they can handle track abuse then they can handle our roads.

These wheels are 18x8.5 with a 38mm offset. I wanted a deep dish rear wheel but the only one I like that I’ve seen are the ones in my sig. But I have no idea where to locate them or who makes them.

The chrome caps are plastic and can be painted if you choose. I was planning on painting them purple and powdering the wheels either a gunmetal or black chrome once I got the car done on the outside. Gloss black isn’t the best color wheel for a black car in my opinion. But I just love the style.

Are you looking for a 5 spoke, mesh, 7-spoke? I can look and make a couple suggestions for you. I’m frequently looking all over for different styles and such.

I’m not gonna post all the wheels I found on here but I like the Momo wheels, the bronze Enkeis and the black Tenzos

I’m looking for a 5-spoke design. I like the Tenzos, I perfer chrome or something close to it, maybe some gold.

I want these rims!

those wheels are Work Vs-kf in burning black.

I believe the specs are 17x9 +0 17x11 -5 or something close to that

i hope you have about $2500 for a used set.

the rear is definitely 18"

So you want lip… if you’re going to look at sportmax, look at the 962. 17x9 +35 you have a 3" lip.

Tein is great.

Tein Basics or i can get you megan street/track coilovers. pm/text me when your ready! ;D

+1, for a car that won’t see much track time, Tein Basics will be sufficient. You’ll get a nice drop too.

So do you guys not know about Stance or Silk Road? Both awesome coils for pretty cheap… check 'em out. IMO, best bang for the buck on the S13/S14 chassis.

Chrome looks really nice on a black car, I will admit, but keep in mind they are super heavy, especially once you hit 17". Heavy wheels=less power ftl

Stance is awesome. Isn’t silk road is mad $$$?? don’t know for sure. In all honesty you’d be fine with megans.

I’d like to check those Megans out on your car and see how they ride. What are you doing today around 4?

Yeah I’ve heard of stance and silk road, I really don’t know which I want yet. I would like ones that come with the camber plates. I don’t think the Tein basics come with them.

Yeah if I get heavy wheels than I’m pretty much forcing myself to upgrade the turbo/brakes, not a bad thing…

According to the Sportmax website the 962 and the 507 have the same lip for 18x8.5, I just have to find out the offset the 507’s come in. I would rather go for 17’s but the 006 don’t come in the color I want for the certain size and alot of people have the 962’s. I really haven’t picked out the exact rims yet, I basically want the widest wheels I can fit flush, without stretching the tires and without pulling the fenders, I’ll roll them if I have to though.

I have 962’s on the lexus. They are like lead weights.

The only nice thing about them being lead weights how ever is they are dynomite proof.

You’d have to try to bend or dent one.

after looking at this car today, i can honestly say i’m interested in a jap ride.
:tong
great work. :cool

I saw this car and all I can say is :wow. All it needs are wheels and coilovers and its set. It sounded real mean too. :nod

Thanks, yeah I used to like strictly GM/Chevy cars but then I helped a friend work on his 240 and ride in it and they’re great. Easy to work on and a nice platform for performance upgrades. Oh yeah, RWD FTW ;D I still have mad respect for Chevy’s though.

Wheels and coil-overs are next.

car looked/sounded good! i didnt really get to check it out i think i left soon after u got there but def sexy.

Thanks, if I can find some time I’m hoping to fix a bunch of little things and maybe buff the paint this week.

What do you guys think about these wheels?
Sportmax 502
18x8.5 in chromium black or hyper silver (undecided), can anybody recommend tires sizes? I was thinking 235/40-18 or 245/35-18.

Wheels are hottttt

I have 235/40ZR18. Now, I have the 5 lug S14 rear setup, but I’ll tell you right now, if I were to lower my car, those tires will DEFINITELY rub/bump the car. And since you’ve already done the painting & body work, you probably don’t want to roll your fenders. The tires come right out past the car on the lower portion of the wheel well. See below:

A 35-series tire may make enough room for bump on a relatively stiff suspension though.

What width are your rims?
