what’s done to your motarz steve? mostly stock?
Stock with the boost up (11psi vs 7), running on base tune. 10.0AFR all the way baby.
So I went to Test and Tune tonight at LVD…
I need practice launching (60’ was around 2.2-2.4 sec) but I was also running on my spare maf, which doesnt like 6000-7000RPM, throws a check engine and leans out a bit. Knock is safe though. It was running smooth at LVD tonight, but on the way home it was cutting out around 4500 and above 6000 a bit. I’m going to order a new MAF instead of a used one like I have in the past.
Was it busy at LVD tonight or what? I was there at 5:00 or so and only got 4 runs in, to me that blows goat cack. Here’s a recapp of my runs:
1st run - 16.250 @ 97.40 (fucked up the launch bad and missed 2nd, first time ever launching on a drag strip and I wasnt ready for the green light)
2nd run - 14.295 @ 100.95 (launching around 3000-3500, bogs a bit)
3rd run - 14.173 @ 101.69 (launched the same as before but drove it harder)
4th run - 14.215 @ 97.00 (Launched around 4000, didnt bog to much, banged gears like a mofo until I missed 4th :facepalm)
After I get my MAF and check for boost leaks (and maybe street tune) I’ll take it out again. Other people with very similar setups + a tune run well into the 13’s. I’d just like to hit 13.999 and I’ll be happy for now.
Bottom line, drag racing sucks balls compared to drifting and I hate PR Hondas more than ever.:rofl
Oh and Erngotti, Im pretty sure he did. But I might be wrong.

haha man who says we chase cones? We hit them :lol And there is nothing like hammering into second gear, flicking the steering wheel and just sliding completely sideways, wheel at full lock, massive smoke trail, bouncing off the rev limiter and not caring about wrecking the car. But drag racing is fun.

tune that thing! 10.0 afr??? tune it tune it tune it! what does it have for EMS? if youve got an AEM box i know a great tuner to go to, only 4 hour drive!
I know I have to load up the Apexi Pro software on my laptop (Power FC) and than I’ll get it tuned.
where would you go for something like this, is there an RB specialist in the northeast?

I don’t think it matter much what motor it is for a basic AFR tune.
