wtf are you talking about? hahn racecraft is the turbo kit the gm cobalts use and when you go turbo you start at a hanhn racecraft stage 1, you sir are the moron for not researching your facts before you call someone out.
Did you forget? He ownes the interweb. :jerkit:
you dont neccesary need to use that kit!!! so before calling the Lil emo kid a moron do some more researching
i guess it is personal preference, but as far as not using it on the street for one where are you gonna have the room to really take advantage of it
Eh, I don’t think you understand how modern nitrous systems work.
When armed, I floor it and the nitrous sprays and I go fast. When I let off the gas, it stops spraying. It’s just like having WOT power any other way. Why would I “need more room” for nitrous than for a turbo?
and 2 its illegal to have hooked up on the street so you would have to re hook it up everytime you wanted to use it
I haven’t used my system since…October or so? The bottles been in my Mustang since then. I only take it out when it needs refilled, speaking of which:
plus the out of pocket costs of having to keep refilling it suck and finding a conveniant place to do it.
Eh, not really. A bottle lasts a pretty long time with a 100 shot and lasts a REAL long time on a 75 shot. There are a lot of places around that sell it too, though I’m pretty selective about where I get mine filled.
i just like the idea of bolting a turbo on and being done with it
To each their own. To me, power is power
and as far as wear goes a properly tuned boosted engine should not wear any more than a n2o would
Someone else addressed this already.
stage one turbo …LOL sounds like grand turismo…do you have a stage 1 suspension setup also? :hitit:
hahn does rate their pos setups as stages…they’re dumb
i got stage 2 interior, stage 1 gauges, and stage 3 suspension. The only thing I ever seen rated in stages are clutches. Hahn has to make it easy for cobalt owners Hahaha.
all of hahns kits are rated that way.
why in all hell would you:
- put a hahn turbo kit on your car with no FMIC(stage1)
- not just do what GM tells you in the book
- think you are goin to be fast with the tiny 16G they give you
- waste your time with that kit and just have to upgrade to a T3 or T4 flanged mani down the road
blow ur shit up pussys
the 16 g should be able to get me to the 400whp im looking for and i will get the intercooler as well, the gm build book uses hahn racecraft, i shouldnt have to upgrade the manifold unless i wanted to make more than 400hp
16g and 400CRANKhp dont’ even go together in the same sentance
yea. its hard for me to believe you’re going to gain about 300hp from a 16g
then what are these 16g’s ive been seeing that are claiming to support 374-400 hp?
people trying to sell you stuff. have you ever seen a 16g wheel? lol i just sold one for 200 bux on ebay
A big 16G yes it will be close to 400hp crank
not likely
well im not looking to make world record numbers on my car just something fun to drive on the street and track and when i go to the track i keep my car the same as it is on the street no slicks or lower tire pressure same weight , i do it for fun more than anything so whatever hahns kit will get me up to will be fine by me, ill be happy to do high 12’s
lol, must be why you chose the NA auto SS cobalt. you want to be behind the pack. youre probably 13s
heheh 16g 400 hp, what liter is that motor? your not going to make much power up high at all…better get yourself an intercooler if looking over 2 or 3 psi, especially w/ a little turbo thats going to be spooling a lot on a large 4 banger
