I can’t seem to find the thread i was looking for… all i could come up with was that one… I’m going to make a thread about finding the one i’m talking about I am definitely not lying as I really didn’t believe it either until i saw it considerin it’s really only bolt-on’s.
Yes their cheap to buy… but you cannot compair a $500 s13 thats rusted and with horrible frame rails to a $500 civic that may just need brakes for a safety. s13 wont pass with all the frame rot.
Cause we all know any s13 for $500 is rottin and civics in good shape can be found for $500 easy.
I’m a past 240 owner… I have a passion for nissans… only point I’m trying to prove here is… NISSAN ISNT THE BEST… NOR ARE 240s!!! you guys think your cars are the shit when they really are nothing. You can drop a motor and do up any car… does that make your 240 amazing?? I can do basic bolt on’s to my honda and run with your heavily modded BOOSTED sr’s… plus i have reliability, warranty and the luxury and styling of a more modern car… plus… you can’t even compare the feel and drive of my car to my last… and my 240 was in good condition. handling is waaay more responsive than my 240… i guess you all just hate on hondas because whenever you goto the track civics are ripping you new holes.
SR motorset - $2300… Parts “Fmic, fuel pump, bov” $1000
so $3300.
GS-R motorset for my integra would run me what… $4000 for everything I need “according to half the places in t.o”
or built/used/beat on/raced GSR’s from honda boards for like $2500-3000 without ecu or harness or something “always missing something”
either way… the SR in the 240 is going to be an all round better car to drive then the integra. and it would be cheaper to do so just based on you can get an SR + Parts/Upgrades perhaps for cheaper then just buying a damn GSR motorset.
and I myself do not think the 240 is the shit… or that it owns anyone else… but for the little money I have into my car it’ll own 3/4 of the integra’s/civic’s out there.
oh… dude on VM in kitcehener happens to have a tpyeR integra RHD right from japan land… ask him how slow it is vs the 240 with an SR
The handling is much more responsive in the 240s than the acuras, besides if you want to talk about handling your car is not the ideal car since the TSX outhandles an RSX… After I put TC rods on my nissan the response was phenomenal, my CL-S doesn’t even compare.
But here is a joke for today:
A US Army soldier sat in a bar with his head in his hands having just finished his first day of Airborne training. His buddy sat down on the stool next to him and asked him what was the matter.
“I just finished my first day in Airborne training and it didn’t go too well”, he sighed.
“What happened?”, his buddy asked.
“Well, we got over the jump zone, the green light came on and we all hooked up to the jump line. We shuffled to the door and when it was my turn, I just froze. I couldn’t jump.”
“What happened then?”, his buddy asked, concerned.
“Well the jump sargeant started yelling at me. He said, Boy, if you don’t jump right now, I’m going to shove my fist up your ass!”
“Did you jump?”
“Well, a little at first”
Pavel a TSX does not outhandle my rsx-s… my parents have a 2005 TSX and it is in no way a better handling car than mine. I think you should take an rsx-s for a test drive if you haven’t already… i move the steering wheel a MM and it cranks the car to one side… steering is unbelievably tight and responsive.
next time any of you guys are out for a meet we’ll go for a boot if weather conditions are alright… my car hugs the road like glue at 240km/h when switching lanes or swerving… does yours on stock suspension?? can you imagine with aftermarket?
you have to also remeber how old our suspensions are , replace everything with new OEM and then maybe it would be a more fair comparison, I am not just taling Stuts and Springs, I means anything that has anything to do with handeling
