Dude a 240sx doesn’t compare to an RSX the S13/S14 both have late 1980’s technology they compare to integras and Preludes that were around in the 240sx era.
The last year for the 240sx in North America was 1998, 4 years before the RSX even came out! If you want to compare the RSX to a Nissan product in the same era you have to compare it to the S15 silvia. You got to realize that in the late 80’s if a 4 cylinder came with 150 horsepower it was like a miracle people were like wowwww! Most V8’s were only pushing like 200 to 250 HP from the factory back then, now we have 4 cylinders that push 300 HP from the factory. So if your going to compare cars make sure they are from the same era so that you are comparing apples to apples and Im sure in many years from now someone will be having this same discusion like ours and they will be saying “Back in the early 2000’s most 4 cylinders came with only 300 HP or less now our 2 cylinders come with 600 horsepower +!” LOL[/quote]

Actually a lot of us appreciate other cars, just because not everyone love your RSX does not mean we do not.
Hell there are a Ton of other cars out there that I love and I know almost everyone can say the same. and as for hondas, I really Enjoy the ITR,newer ludes,S2000,NSX they have some really nice sedans also, and the bikes are awsome.
I think you just over assume that we all think 240sx are the best, ya we do have a preference for them or we would not be here just like you now have a higher preference for you RSX. That is how things work, Hell i thought my 91 ford Taurus was the total PIMP.

As far as stock block boosted k20s go, there are also stock block boosted ka24s with over 400whp documented and afaik, the sr20 stock block has even held more than that.
any engine can be made to push higher hp…

actually my car only comes in 6spd manual… and i don’t think my car is the sh.it… i’m saying that my car isn’t… and its still leaps and bounds over a 240sx… stock for stock.
Nobody said a 240 is a better car, it’s just a better choice, for me. You made your choice and we’re not gonna shit talk your car (I don’t think anyone was really…) but don’t expect us to bow down when you bring a fwd to the table. Yea, it’s nice, but it’s not impressive.
And as to the original point of this thread, how only the S2K and NSX deserve respect… well you sure as hell didn’t see ANYONE saying a stock 240SX deserves respect. I’d slap whoever said that myself.

I already state in my post what is the main advantage that K20 has? thats right its the technology.

I personally only mod 240 for my own purpose , track the fuck out of it. Yes i built to abuse it. It got great design for handling so i will take advantage of it.
But i certainly wont built it and tell everyone its hot shit. Then i said how Honda owners are ricers, i wouldnt modify one blah blah. To me 240 style isnt that hot to show off, the engine isnt that cool to show off. Nothing extraordinary.

Also S2000 engine, F20 is outdated. Honda is developing the upgraded version of K20 in ITR for it. There is not reason to say i respect this S2000 but not that one. I personally hate S2000. Its built not for me. Honda should make it hard top and a nicer, bigger body.
RSX-S is not 2 doors afforable shit, its fucking overpriced. Freak out door is $37 grands, more expensive than the Mustang GT.
To me its an good all around car. I remember the first i drove it off the dealer parking lot. ( i paid it off so no financing to worry lol). I was thinking fuck did i make the right choice , and i start regreting buying it until i know more about it i got respect for it. Trust me i hate it the first 3 weeks i got it, because i should have got a nice 4 doors car lol
answer me this… why would i choose to modify my integra when say a GSR engine set is worth about $4000. or I could get an SR20 for my 240 and only be @ $2000. and the SR will spank the GSR.
my S13 came with an LSD… integra does not…
rwd is fun… fwd is not…
so my reasons for not modifying my integra are rather good in my opinion (why spend twice as much money) or throw my money away on my integra when i can mod my 240 easier and cheaper.
and who says I’m not open minded because I wont waste my money on my Integra ? I still enjoy driving it… I havent sold it… I’d love to own an NSX and have nothing against an RSX. but for the money they cost + the money for parts, I’d prefer to buy a rusted S13, drop in a motor and give it some TLC.

this thread is running in circles now. clearly not everyone will agree on a common statment about hondas, however that is totally understandable because people do differnt things with their cars.
stop bickering and just understand that hondas are good well rounded cars that car do all sorts of things weather it be show, drag, grip, or yes even drift if you come right down to it.
many cars car do the same things hondas can… but hondas have beeing doing their thing far longer than any other car… so they got a bit of a head start.
