God dam $3.32!!!
Maybe Nascar will switch to shell ? like F1 lol
wow that link has 117 octan or 850/ 54 gal… $16~17/ gallon… and 1 gal is how many liter?
4.5$/L 1us gallon is 3.8L
wow… you guys are ballers man. so it would be 160~180 cad to fill up a s13 eh? lol wow balllllllllllllllllllllleeers
so i found out that sunoco will be done in around 67 months, october but petro will offer 94 octane but im not sure if the petro’s that are already out before the sunoco incident will offer the 94, and all your sunoco points will be converted to petro points
just as long as they get rid of the one run by sri lankans next to my house. shhaaaaaady as fuck, so many people have had cards compromised there
the nice thing is ive already found two locations near by of petro that offer 94 yay for this
hmmm are you talking about the one at close to promenade mall, at clark and bathurst cause i know they’re sri lankens also cause i always go there
if so then your right by me at bathurst and steeles
islington and steeles, but close enough. dont trust those fuckers one bit.
lol close enough thats like 10 clicks but aright
I have been experimenting with Shell V-Power. Man, it smells so nice. It smells so rich, but then yet my A/F reading is 14.2-14.5 during warm up and 13.9-14.2 while driving/after warmed up. It smells great. And my RB likes to Bang on it more than 94 for some reason. It also fills up drive-thru windows with it’s rich smell and repulsed everyone but gear heads. If only 94 had that smell and made my exhaust want to slit flames as much as v-power does.
Everytime I hear that commercial about trading in <1995 cars for newer cars because they pollute 10x more, I think fuck that. I like the smell of my polluting exhaust, thank you very much. Ever smell a rcar running rich, a rotary (Renesis excluded), or a carbed muscle car with straight pipes? It smells fucking beautiful. Especially that raw unadulterated, dumping-too-much-fucking-fuel-into-the-exhaust smell that older muscle cars have.
It is toulene that you put a cup in. It’s a cheap octane booster. With 94 and enough oz’s of it you should have 97 octane easy.
Actually more than a cup after research. Dump a gallon and a half in with a tank of 94 and you should have 97 octane. I am going to try this out sometime. Ideally you want a 10% mixture. We have 60 L tanks, so we need to shoot for 6L of toulene for every 54 of 94. That should bring you around 97. A little more is better, but you don’t wanna fill up on this shit obviously.
Since toulene is a form of paint thinner, it is readily available at hardware stores. I should be able to nab some at Home Depot and fill up a Jerry can with it and put it in my tank before filling up at the station. Not before because the concentration would be too great, it has to be done at the station. I will probably do this, this week.
Shell>
lol I like how everyone is saying how bad petro canada’s fuel is and how good sunoco’s 94 is… My father worked for petrocanada for 38 years. Petrocanada, sunoco gas comes from the same refinery. esso, pioneer and some other places also buy it from the petrocanada refinery in oakville, Shell is the only one i know that does their own thing. Its simply cheaper then to ship it all the way from their refinerys. Well this is true for the halton and some of the GTA i dunno about the rest of southern ontario. and that isn’t even true anymore because that refinery doesn’t exhist anymore. Its just a pumping station with holding tanks. Most of our fuel now comes from alberta and is shipped over from india.
Shell is the only company that consistantly tests their octane ratings and fuel quality and it is proven over and over shell v-power is the most accurate in its octane rating when tested was consistantly 91 or higher and is the cleanest fuel available to the general public at gas stations. Sunoco 94 when tested by independent studys was found to have an octane rating averaging at 89… just some reading i did in a magazine. I dont get why this isn’t false advertising. I used to use sunoco too, but since switching to v-power after reading that article, I find I get almost 50 more kilometers to a tank and it seems to perform better. I dunno if anyone else has experienced this?
Just because the fuel comes from the same refinery, it does not mean that you will get the exact same gas at Sunoco as you would Petro Canada and Esso. Here is why: every station has their own formula of additives. The most important part is using a top tier gas, a gas that is basically over-engineered . I only fill up with top tier fuels because I know I am getting more for my money. Sunoco is a top tier fuel, as is Shell. If Sunoco 94 rated as 88 octane while tested, then it WOULD NOT be a top tier fuel. That is bunk.
Here is the website as reference and proof

Increased gas mileage on V-Power is more than likely due to 94 having 10% ethanol vs v-power having zero.
I switched back to 94 and my EGT feels lower to the touch than it did with V-Power. I need an EGT to accurately confirm this.
I also did 460 km with an RB25 on and off boost on 94. My fuel gauge doesn’t read at all, so I can’t confirm how much mileage I can get, however, I think I can pull off at least 500 km.
^ my friend proved this with his wideband. On vpower his car ran richer then on 94 from sunoco, which is because it didn’t have bs additives. Which is proof, that shell is better, I wanna get my car retuned to shell. Just from smelling the sunoco gas when it burns, i can tell v power was nicer.
lol exactly i love that u can smell a muscle car well before u can hear and see it.
I’m gunna have to try V-power. See if I backfire more then now.
^ Ditto, I use to always put in Sunco 94, but now that I’ve heard all these reviews, I guess i’ll give V-power a shot.
