I’ve seem a lot of stuff lately where people would click the reply button just to put random jumble in, that has no relevance, contribution or even thought put into it.
If you don’t have anything to contribute to a particular thread, don’t reply.
Quality > Quantity.
If you want to reply to a thread with a completely OT comment about a poster above you, take it to the OT thread, or to aim.
Arguing, commenting, sharing information is all encouraged, but pointless, senseless random posts do no good to anybody.
If you want to go through every thread in the forum and add something relevant to it, feel free, if you want to go through every thread and just type something random in each one, don’t bother. Crazy abuse useless posts will result of penalty to your post count.
It means that when a person clicks a thread, every post that follows should contribute in some way shape or form to the topic subject, even if it’s an emotional relation in a form of a smily to the post, but nothing useless. I could find examples.
Doing this will help this place much more “user friendly” and keep posts more or less on topic. They may still get offtrack, but as long as they are continuously relating to posts above it, it’s more or less an “evolution” of a thread.
For example, if a thread about the new evo was created, but turned into an Evo Vs Sti battle… that’s fine.
But if a thread is created about the new evo, and ends up on the subject of K20 being the best motor eva, thats :nono
This isn’t directed at anybody in specific, just general.
OT is ot, threads get out of hand and go in their own ways. But if you want to just post whore, there are plenty of “game” threads going on where you can do just that. Everybody who makes a thread wants to see discussion on the thread, and when people browse it to read it and it’s reply’s they want to see stuff thats related so still, no posts that are too silly or have nothing to contribute.
Just cause it’s OT dosn’t mean it can’t be OT to OP.
Vlad, While we are on the topic of stuff you dont want people to do is there a limit to signature pic size. I know other forums have limitations so I just copied my sig from LS1TECH Forums but I noticed a few people have signatures twice the size of their actual posts :
Too true but when they look good you’re like …sick… at least I am lol. I honestly want to stretch mine out and make it shorter so it fits this forum layout better and takes up less space. K20power’s is a good conservative height and codeblue’s old one fit well for example
negative. I doesn’t matter how tyte the sig pic is if you see it EVERY GOD DAMN POST. It’s lame. Make a nice avatar if you care that much. It keeps things much neater. IMO… of course
Yeah, but you have a problem with everything unless it’s your way or something your interested in. Sig pics are something people have on EVERY forum no matter what forum it may be.
no, not everything, just things that are extremely stupid and lame… like sig pics. It must be cool if every other place has it, right? Amazing justification. Probably same justification for getting your civic too… everyone else has one, so it much be the right thing to do. :haha
